The Braves close out the non-conf. with their best record (8-2 minus the Judson game) since the 1987-88 season, in which the team went 9-1 before MVC play, was ranked #11 and The Hawk earned the NCAA POY award.
We took care of business which has been a bugaboo for Bradley for decades, by winning the Myrtle Beach tourney and going undefeated at home. From my research, BU had lost 3 or more non-conf. games before league play in every season since 1994-95 amazingly, (6-2 that season) and fans, other than the 1996 season, have not talked about NCAA tourney chances - even being on the bubble in Jan/Feb. for nearly 3 decades.
This puts them in decent position to at least garner discussion for an At-Large berth during the course of the MVC season.
Now it's time to grind away at conference games and bring back the Valley reg. season title to Peoria!
