Undefeated Drake leads Vandy by 3 at half. Could the MVC win two tourney titles today?

If they stay healthy, the Bulldogs may be a team that will really challenge us for the MVC crown. We are more talented and certainly deeper, but Drake really plays well together.

Drake with an impressive 81-68 win over previously undefeated Vanderbilt. Barrett Stirtz and Mitch Mascari played every second of all 3 tournament games and were fantastic. Mascari had 17, 26 and 17 points while Stirtz had 21 points and 6 assists, 17 points and 6 assists and 16 points and 11 assists respectively. They play very tough physical defense and love driving to the hoop, drawing fouls. These 3 games they combined to go 61-73 from the FT line. Unfortunately once again they will be a problem in the Valley. We better bring our lunch pail
