Kansas City is now 2-2. Their other win was a 124-36 win over Kansas Christian College, a small (130 stuents) private Christian college in Overland Park, Kansas. They are members of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and the ACCA.
But I watched parts of the game last night between North Dakota State and SIU, and NDSU did not look very good. They lost by 25, managed only 44 points, and shot just 26.5% overall, and 18.5% from three. And SIU played their reserves almost half the game.
Many of the Summit League teams have lost players to the transfer portal, so I suspect the entire league is down again this season. Last year, only 3 of the league's 9 teams had overall winning records.
North Dakota St tough to figure out.. they’ve lost to ISU, SIU and Bakersfield??… beat Santa Clara who beat SLU
NDSU beat Santa Clara at Santa Clara in overtime. I was at the Santa Clara/SLU game in Sioux Falls and, while SLU played just average, Santa Clara was executing quite nicely. Maybe it was one of those "on any given night" scenarios.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.
