WSU was 25-10 last season and 14-6 in the Pac 12 under former coach Kyle Smith. They played in the NCAA Tournament as an at-large team, and lost in the 2nd round. Kyle Smith was hired away by Stanford, and WSU hired Eastern Washington head coach David Riley. 4 of his players from Eastern Washington transferred to play for him at Washington State, and he did the rest of a near-complete roster rebuild with portal transfers and new recruits.
WSU won Monday night (Nov. 4) to start this season 1-0, with a 100-92 win over Portland State of the Big Sky Conference.

WSU is a member of the West Coast Conference this year after spending the last 56 years in the Pac 12, formerly the Pac 10 & Pac 8 .

Bradley has only played Washington State twice before, in 1939 and 1943. Both games were in Peoria, and both were well before WSU joined the Pac 8 Conference in 1968 and before Bradley became a member of the MVC. Washington State won both games.
