Platt was not a selection of Jim Les', he was brought in via a weird plan that Glasser had to force out Les' assistants (Eric Buescher, Alvin Brooks)
and re-engineer the staff herself. If you recall, Platt was actually a really good guy but not JL's choice at all, and he brought with him one of his own players
when he was hired here. The following season, the entire staff was fired. Truly the most bizarre set of circumstances in the history of DI sports.

It was a 2010-11 freshman Andrew Davis, a player that Jim Platt had recruited in his job as an assistant at Army, prior to coming to Bradley - https://bradleybraves.com/sports/men...rew-davis/8903
He redshirted and never played for Bradley. He left after the one season he was at Bradley.

I figured it would've been him looking back at that roster...wonder what ever became of him

Andrew Davis subsequently transferred to. Junior college in Arizona, played two years and was marginally productive - then apparently did not play after that as I can’t find any evidence he was on a 4-year school’s roster

Andrew was a really nice kid, but he wasn't ready for D1 basketball. He left after redshirting the 2010-11 season at Bradley. He eventually attended South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Arizona, where he played one season of basketball in 2012-13 - https://accac.org/sports/mbkb/2012-1...ndrewdavisap0j

After that, he apparently gave up playing college basketball, returned home (he was from Edmond, OK), and got his undergrad degree from the University of Oklahoma. He then attended law school at the University of Arizona and became a lawyer. He is now an attorney with his father's law practice in Oklahoma City. - https://dandavislaw.com/attorneys/

                  Getting back to tonight’s game . . .
The Braves’ theme for this season is “Prove ‘em”. Beating a good Washington State team on the road would be the first evidence that this is a special season. A loss doesn’t eliminate that possibility, but we all know the committee looks for every excuse to keep MVC teams out of the big dance.
Let’s not give them one tonight. “Prove ‘Em,” Braves! I can't wait.

DC do you know how+when the team traveled? does HOTB help with airfare or were they on a bus?
hope they're not playing on tired/jetl-lagged legs, but I'm sure BW has them ready to play regardless.

Yes, the first picture is of several players from Illinois Wesleyan 1976-77.

The school I attended in '96 and '97. They had great D-3 teams too, but BU hoops was my focus while at IWU.

No doubt!!! It even got me pissed that we lost 80+ yrs ago. If I recall correctly that was a bad year all around, when I was in my prime.

I do not know the specific details of this trip, but they most likely would have chartered a plane and left yesterday morning in order to arrive at least 24 hours ahead of the game and get a chance to practice once on the opponent's floor.
I've had the opportunity to travel on several team trips in past seasons, by both bus and plane. The team will usually bus if the trip is 4 or 5 hours or less, but they will usually fly on longer trips. If the trip is not a simple direct flight, which Peoria has very few of, then they will usually fly via a chartered flight. Most MVC game destinations are by bus because they can be made in less than 4 or 5 hours. But cities like Springfield, MO, and Nashville are usually chartered flights. Likewise, Wichita and Creighton (Omaha) were always charter flights.

And the Athletic Department always covers all travel expenses for every team. The HOTB only arranges deals for the players themselves, they do not pay for team expenses.
