Way too early to be concerned with rankings as early games move teams up and down erratically. But fwiw BU at 79 in kenpom this morning.

Coach, I'm not familiar with this poll. Does it factor into tournament selection algorithm? NET ranking is the key obviously, and that won't be out for a bit.

It's not a poll, but rather is a complicated formula by a PhD statistician and data scientist named Evan Miyakawa - https://blog.evanmiya.com/about
More on how it works- https://evanmiya.com/?how_it_works

It is somewhat similar to the Kenpom rankings, but maybe even more involved. I don't know if the NCAA uses his analytics, but they have adopted some of the same metrics he uses. There are some who think his methods are more accurate in predicting outcomes.

DC, things have changed. They are now 65th. Probably changed by tomorrow morning.

We need them to end up around upper 30's, lower 40's to have an automatic bid. Low probability unless we sweep our non-conference (maybe lose 1 on the road) schedule and only lose 1-2 games in conference play.

Braves at 101 in kenpom this morning. Our next opponent, UTSA, is in the 220s.
