...into the school year, and this board is about as dead as it's ever been with discussion about the current team, especially the new guys. Come on BU students! Surely some of you have classes and get to interact with the new guys, or have seen or heard of some pickup games going on with them. We want the dirt! Everyone on here is dying for some news on Collins, Austin, Wilson, Cole-Scott, Egolf, Thompson, and Maniscalco.

Ummm ... they go to class? Not really much dirt to throw around. I don't really make it a point to talk to them just because they're on the team. If I know them I'll talk to them just like any other friend on campus.

I see SamMan in the GCC every now and then and he's built like a rock. Definitely the newcomer I'm most excited about seeing. I haven't spotted Andrew Warren around campus yet this semester, but I'm anxious to see what his body looks like after a summer with Coach Wright. Hope he doesn't get lost in the shuffle with all the new bodies.

Hey, I have been doing my share......and just posted a little stuff about several of the rest of the Valley teams.

Anyway, ask the ISU fans....sometimes NO NEWS is good news, and just as soon as a few of the preseason events occur (the auction, the Red-White game) then coverage will begin in the paper.
All I can say is that I have NOT heard of any issues or injuries that have yet affected any of the scholarship players since workouts began, and that Jeremy Crouch is doing FULL CONTACT drills and workouts and is looking as good as ever. 100% healed!

I wasn't necessarily referring to you T or the mods, I know you guys post as much stuff on here as humanly possible. I was referring to more the students. But, it just might be more of me being very anxious to get this thing going than anyone. I know I am not the only one!

BTW - Great news on JC!

i see the players all the time but i never talk to them. all i can comment on is how they look....

SM is definitely built. he looks like a junior.
SS has lost a significant amount of weight. if he weighed 260 last year, he's probably down to 230.
AT is extremely thin. i can't really imagine him contributing at this level yet.
AW has gained some weight. he looks like he's gained 15 lbs of GOOD bulk.
TW looks like a typical sized DI wingman. he's not as thin as i had originally thought. AW and TW look about the same size.
DC is legitimately 7'0" tall. he is NOTICEABLY stronger and taller than AT which is all i can compare him to.

          walk ons:
RT is very thin and does not look very athletic compared to the others. i look forward to seeing him next year on the perimeter.
CS looks very athletic but almost as thin as AT. he is not built for the post but a 6'7" potential guy on the wing excites me.

i saw most of the team eating together and they seem like they enjoy hanging around eachother. it did seem like TW was keeping to himself but that could be because it was breakfast and early.

i'm sure a lot of this info is already known but it's all i can contribute.
from simply looking at them, i think this team has quite a bit of potential because of their height and athleticism.

Yeah, not really a whole lot of dirt to be had. The basketball team is usually low key around campus. Even on weekends, I rarely spotted them at parties or bars, except for Saihou, it seemed like I saw him around campus and town all the time. The scholarship players don't have to live in the dorms for the first 2 years like regular students, so they go off campus right away, and their addresses and phone numbers aren't in the online student directory like other students.

But if anyone is looking to stalk.......I usually saw the team in WIlliams Hall for breakfast with a few coaches after the mornining workout/practice between 8-9 am. A bunch of players usually sit on the benches in front of Bradley Hall in the morning and early afternoon before class. If you're by the St. James apartments, just listen for the loudest music at night. Also, a bunch of athletes and coaches usually go to the volleyball and women's basketball games and sit on the side with the benchs, nearest to the doors.

As for going to class, a friend of mine once told me a few years ago that two basketball players (I forget who) skipped their com class she had with them so much that a coach or some other person from the athletic dept. began walking them to class.

No stalking...no stalking. These guys need to have private lives too. Thanks for the reports. Like Jim said, at least we'll 'look' like a basketball team this year! Ha! Can't wait to get this thing started!

I was only joking about stalking. I just meant that's where I usually saw guys on the team around campus.

I used to live in the same building in St. James as the basketball players. I think they keep those apartments "in the family," as players would move in and out of the same apartments over the years. They were always the loudest, but they were also generally very congenial -- they'd invite the entire building up if there was a party or something, and if they were, oh, say, having a water balloon fight in/around the building, they weren't shy about getting others involved.

All I can say is YAY FOR THE SEASON STARTING SOON! And Abe, Grandma wants to join us for UIC, so issue her a FB invite if you haven't already.

Getting back into the groove of things after a very busy first month of classes. Anyways I don't have any classes with the players but I did have a summer class in July. I believe it may have been Collins that would walk by the doorway to his class. The first time I saw him walk by, I was like "what the...., I sure hope he's on the team". If he's anywhere near as good as POB, he'll be out the door early to the NBA. Little bit on the thin side but you don't have to be built to use your skills.

classes must have really diminished your quality time on bradleyfans because if you were on here a lot you'd know that collins is a juco and will not leave early....
