Boden Skunberg, a 5th year transfer from North Dakota State, who was honorable mention All-Summit League and lead NDSU in scoring (14.1 ppg), was projected to be a potential starter for this year's Redbirds, is not dressed for the game.

Illinois State beats D2 Lewis University 72-65 in their exhibition game. High scorer was 6'5" redshirt-junior guard Landon Wolf, a transfer from Northern Iowa with 18 points. ISU had 23 turnovers.

Evansville played an exhibition game against Division II Tiffin University from Tiffin, Ohio.
Evansville won 86-60.... High scorer was Gabriel Pozzato, a freshman from Italy.

Just an analysis of the stats & play-by-play-
ISU led most of the game, but they had cold spells. Lewis was able to erase as 13 point ISU lead, then
Lewis actually took the lead until 13:43 remaining in 2nd half, then ISU went on a run & built a 15 pt lead with 6:31 remaining,
but then, ISU did not make another FG over the final 5:44 of the game and survived by 7 pts

ISU appears to love the 3-pt shot - they took 63% (32 of their 51 total attempts) of all their shots from 3-pt and hit 34%
Meanwhile, of the 19 shots they took inside the arc, they made 16 of them (84%)
I didn't see the game, but ISU avoided the paint like the plague, against a DII team whose
starters & only sub with >14 min go 5-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-5, 6-6, and 6-7?
ISU's starting center, Chase Walker's stat line- 0-0 from the field, 0 points, 3 reb, 3 turnovers, 4 fouls, incl a Technical.

also - Evansville's assistant coach, DJ Balentine's brother Desmond Balentine is the head coach of Tiffin.

A couple familiar names-
One time Bradley recruit (his first offer as a freshman at Manual was from Bradley) Adam Miller is listed as a Redshirt Senior on the Arizona State team. He started and played 20 minutes, but only scored 2 points.

Alston Mason also started for ASU. He is a senior who played one year at Oklahoma, then the last 2 seasons at Missouri State. He was their leading scorer last year (17.5 ppg). Mason played a team-high 32 minutes and had just 4 points.

That has to be one of the most embarrassing exhibition performances I can recall, getting blown out by a team that
starts 3 freshmen & a sophomore - 103-47. Alston Mason was a high volume shooter on a team last year, Missouri State, that
didn't have many reliable shooters and was at the bottom of the Valley in FG% & 3-ptFG%, but it would appear he &
Miller could struggle a bit against good defenses. Between the two of them they averaged about 25 shots per game last year.

Southwest Baptist is Division II. They were 6-22 last year, 2-18 in their conference. 4 of their 6 wins were over lower division schools-
Hannibal-Lagrange- NAIA
Central Christian College of the Bible- NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association)
Ozark Christian College- ACCA (Association of Christian College Athletics)
Williams Baptist College- NAIA

And they were picked 15th out of 15 teams in their Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason poll!

Yeah, they have # 10 in the Box score as Xavier Johnson. That was his jersey number last year. But it is supposed to Damien Mayo (junior transfer from Missouri State), who is # 10 this season.
