  • Bids for the Braves Silent Auction

I received an email about the silent auction and here's a link to it:

The part I can't really understand is it talks about bids being allowed through Oct. 26th online. There's no reference to an in person bidding event, yet there are many of the best items say "PREVIEW" and then when you click the listing it says it is not available for online bidding.

I shouldn't really need to go to our board to get answers to a question like this one. When will those items be sold? Can I bid on them if I'm not in Peoria?

Yes, anyone can submit a bid online (you need to register), but the October 26 date at 8:30 pm is the deadline for online bids.
Here is more on how to bid - https://bua7595.ggo.bid/bidding/package-browse

The live auction is held that night, Oct. 26, at the Renaissance Coliseum. Here is more information for anyone who would like to attend. It is a big gala type dinner, entertainment, and socialization with other fans, supporters, players, coaches and Bradley personnel. - https://bradleybraves.com/news/2024/...-now-open.aspx

The best packages are done in a live auction and must be present. They also go for thousands of dollars.

That's pretty disappointing considering so many BU fans don't stay in the area once they graduate. I get the "why" here, so I don't need it explained the reasons why it is done that way, it's just unfortunate for us who can't be in Peoria often.

One thing that really baffles me is why schools don't sell jerseys that the players wear. This isn't just a BU thing but across college basketball. You should be able to buy an authentic game jersey, just like the players wear if it's blank. And if it has a player's name and number, then it can go to NIL. I'd be happy to spend good money for a Duke Deen jersey, for example and have him benefit from it. The NIL t-shirts are fine but is there some other reason why this isn't done?

It's not like this is illegal, the Illini literally have this for their football players: https://store.fightingillini.com/men...ID:i-r1c0:po-3

Bradley did have the Bradley script replica jerseys for sale at the Itoo Hall event with a variety of numbers (no names on the back), and in different sizes, S, M, L, and XL. They were priced at $50 each, and they sold very well. They also were selling a lot of other apparel, such as the PIA shirts, sweatshirts, etc.

They were not Under Armour (the brand name on them is Champro), but they are very nice quality. They are similar to last season's script jerseys, except they have the V-neck, I included a photo of last season's jerseys below.

This is the large size, and its fairly big-

on very rare occasions Bradley does auction off or sell authentic game-worn jerseys. (I know because I have some)
They did after the throwback game in the 90's against IWU at the Fieldhouse & they did with some commemorative baseball jerseys several years ago.
They also have done it rarely at the Bid for the Braves auctions in the past.
But honestly, I don't know why they don't do it more. Every season they get new jerseys, so the older ones could fetch good $ if place up for sale where
fans can bid or buy outright. Maybe they do sell them but I haven't seen any listed very often.

There are about 13 live auction items that evening.

There are also about 50 in person only silent auction items.

Honorary Coach for the ISU and Drake games. Bus trip with the team to UIC. Some cool stuff.

There’s a handful of spots left but there’s already over 500 people registered to attend that evening.

The Bradley Home of the Brave NIL group is selling nice quality replica jerseys, and the profits go to a great cause. - https://hotbrave.com/collections/replica-jerseys

These appear to be similar to the ones that were sold at the Itoo Hall Spaghetti Supper, except these do have names on the back. (click on jerseys to see the back)

I am assuming our reds will get rid of the blue like the white set does. So I wonder if they will change these or if they are already ordered.

Anyone know when and where we can pick up items we won on the online auction? I didn’t receive any text or email after the auction closed, but I was listed as the winner for one of the items I bid on.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Apologies for not responding sooner, but I had never known these existed, even though I had thought I'd seen the whole HOTB collection before. I will definitely order one, just trying to decide which guy - many favorites!
