    This is from 1992. I was at SIU at the time and I remember the game as being part of a tournament.
    My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.

      Haha. Thanks for catching that.
      Iowa did win the closed scrimmage over SIU on October 19.
      The final score was actually 92-68 - https://x.com/MVCMadness/status/1848385690028945488

        speaking of blowouts....
        Illinois just played Ole Miss (picked 9th in SEC preseason poll) in a charity exhibition, and got blown out 91-74.

        Ex-MVC guys--->
        Ben Humrichous (Evansville transfer for Illinois) went 1-5 in 21 minutes (0-4 from 3-pt), scoring just 2 pts, 1 reb
        Belmont transfer playing for Ole Miss, Malik Dia, was 7-8, 18 pts, 2 reb in just 19 minutes.

            Nice win for UNI (picked 2nd in the MVC), even though Wisconsin is down this year. The Badgers were picked tied for 12th in the preseason Big Ten media poll. - https://www.cbssports.com/college-ba...an-underrated/

            Also, nice to see Valpo (picked 10th out of 12 in MVC) beat Ball State. Ball State was picked in the middle of the pack (7th out of 12 teams) in the MAC Preseason poll. - https://getsomemaction.com/news/2024...oll-teams.aspx

                That can't be right, Coach. The NIT has all but assured us the low seeded Big 10 teams are all much better than any mid-major.

                No big deal, just thought I'd point out your obvious mistake in reporting that score.

                I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

                    Saw on the NIU board that the Huskies, who have lost nearly everyone from last year's team to either graduation or the portal and haven't been relevant for the better part of 50 years, recently lost a secret scrimmage to Green Bay, 104-94.
