funny how even the eulogy in today’s paper highlights mostly how “irascible” & “combative” he was (their own words) and how he tried to verbally insult & anger the people he was interviewing-
“had a knack for eliciting reactions from people” - meaning he intentionally provoked people to make them angry so he could have something controversial to write about. That is actually horrible journalism.
( in that light, he was dead wrong with his false allegations that Bradley tampered to get Cellus - and even the very source he used to post his lies called him out on it and confirmed it was lies. But Theobald never apologized.)
he is the epitome of a so-called journalist whose desire to actually get the facts and get the story took 2nd place to trying to BE the story by provoking tirades & calling attention to himself.
His attacks on Molinari were partly responsible for BU dumping one of their best coaches ever with one of the best incoming groups ever that Mo woulda had in 2002- FOUR One-Thousand-Point guys (actually Four 1400-point guys) on the same team.
Marcello 747 career points, 416 career assists

Tucker 1,555 career points
Tisby became a starting center in the SEC at South Carolina
Andre Corbitt 7.3 ppg & 5 rpg as a soph
