The new Texas High School magazine pictured above is out...and it has a feature on Bradley commit Montana Wheeler.

Here is a link to a free online digital version- https://x.com/billionairevsn/status/1852432018824695823

(Note:it may only be free for a short period)

Highlights - Story about Montana Wheeler is on page 21- his younger brother Lincoln, Class of 2027, is mentioned as also on the team.
They also have the statewide Texas High School team rankings for 2024-25 and Montana's school, Xavier Academy,
is ranked #2 statewide among private schools
There's also "Players to Watch" listed Montana is noted in Class of 2025, his little brother, Lincoln is in Class of 2027.

Here's the guy who publishes the magazine and who wrote the piece on Montana. Kudos for such an excellent job-

      Those dates are not accurate

Here are the NLI signing dates for players who will enroll in fall of 2025:
Signing period is November 13-20, 2024
We should hope for at least three NLI’s, Zobrist, Wheeler & Richardson - maybe even more?

Small technicality but NLI’s are gone. Commits now sign a different agreement which should have some similar commitment level. Not sure if dates are the same,

          Yes- changes are coming.
“The NCAA Division I Council has approved the elimination of the national letter of intent program”

”Students can and will sign some form of binding agreement” - the same dates are still in effect.

This decision is "preliminary" with a final vote "scheduled for April 7, 2025.”- https://blog.sportsrecruits.com/2024...dent-athletes/

PJSTAR reports he should be signing today. Also reports of transfer Aiden Goins. This is the first I have heard of him, but I am not in the loop as much as most.

"Another possible signee this week is forward Aiden Goins, a Knoxville, Tenn., product who played at Walters State Community College. Goins is intriguing at 6-foot-9, 265 pounds and with a 3-point shooting rate of 44%."

Aiden Goins would fill a strong need for this 2025 recruiting class, a bulky skilled big man. Dave Eminian seems not completely sure Goins will sign, calling him "another possible signee". Let's hope we get good news today!

He is a hefty (6'9", 265 lb) left hander with some nice moves and a decent outside shot. He shot over 44% from three last season.

I will reiterate that I highly doubt his weight starts is anything less than 320. Regardless though, I would be interested to see if he could keep up with the speed of the D1 game. Could be a shorter Meta with a better shot.

He does look a bit slimmer in the photo above in the Bradley uniform, compared with the earlier photo above where he is wearing the Walters State uniform.

Coach/Yoda, in your opinion, is this the most talented signing class we've had in decades?
                            Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Hard to say definitively, because we don't know how all these guys will turn out, or whether they will stay at Bradley for their entire careers. But on the surface, I think it does appear to be the best incoming freshman group in decades, and Coach Wardle is not done yet.
I don't know if this has been posted yet, but listen to Coach Wardle talk about his first 3 commits - https://bradleybraves.com/news/2024/...ss-update.aspx

Probably Jim Les' two best recruiting classes -
2003- Marcellus Sommerville, Daniel Ruffin, J.J. Tauai, Michael Rembert
2004- Patrick O'Bryant, Tony Bennett, Jeremy Crouch, Lawrence Wright, Sam Singh, and Lance Stemler

These were probably the three best Jim Molinari classes-
1992- Deon Jackson, Billy Wright, Dwayne Funches, Marcus Pollard, Rick Harris
1993- Anthony Parker, Aaron Zobrist, Kerry Burrell, James Baptist, Brian Hildebrand
2001- Danny Granger, Joah Tucker, Antoine Tisby, Mike Suggs, Brandyn Heemskerk, Michael Stewart

You might have to go back to Dick Versace's 1984 recruiting class to find the group that accomplished the most-
1984- Hersey Hawkins, Donald Powell, Jerry Thomas, Greg Jones, Len Bertolini, Trevor Trimpe, Tim Bankston, Jerome Childs

And considering this was his first year at Bradley, Versace had a pretty good first recruiting class in 1978-
1978- Mitchell Anderson, Carl Maniscalco, Donald Reese
