  • BU Attendance over-under

This number might actually be a little low but I'm going 5,975 per game average. Over or under? The big assumption is that we're as advertised and winning our home games.

I'll take the over, NC! I think we're going to be tough to beat this year and that should bring in the fans! Fingers crossed!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

I can't help but think it will be up some this season, but I will favor a more modest increase - say 5,750 (was 5464 in 2023-24)

        Some historical perspective...
Last year's (2023-24) average was 5,464 per game. The average the year before (2022-23) in their MVC Conference Championship year was 4,947. And in 2021-22, the first season after the 0 attendance Covid season of 2020-21, the average was 4,351.

So I think we'll see an increase, but I'm going to guess the increase will be smaller- my guess 5,620.

Thanks for the facts. I neglected to mention last year's baseline.

Didn't I read season ticket sales were increased over last year

yes, on Aug. 5, three months before the seasons starts, there was a mention that they had already surpassed last year's figure for season ticket purchases.

I am hoping yet probably wishful thinking we get close to an ave. of 6,000 . The start to the season will be important in getting more fans to come plus the style of play. We need to score more points on ave. which in turn should get us more fans.

I'm optimistic, but also the schedule will likely play into the overall attendance numbers a great deal. If the quality of our home schedule is inferior to last year I could see attendance not increasing.

Yes casual fans will not attend games against weak competition.
