Matthew Zobrist had 29 points on 12-16 shooting, and 5-7 from three, plus 7 assists. Jonah Funk had 25 points, 9 rebounds, and a bunch of blocks.

Metamora advances to the tournament semifinal game Monday at 6:30pm. They will face either Bolingbrook or Lake Forest who play tonight starting at 5:00 pm.

Bradley signee Matthew Zobrist had 29 points, 3 reb, 7 assists against a top team in the state
Rolling Meadows is a state power - they've won 20 or more games in each of the last 5 seasons except 2020-21,
when they went 15-0 but the rest of the season got cancelled. They are 123-33 since 2019 playing the toughest 4A teams in the Chicago area,
and 11-1 so far in 2024-25 coming into this game.
In their first two games in this tournament, they had won by a 55 point margin, 79-24 and a 32 point margin, 55-23.

btw-Bolingbrook, possible Monday opponent for Metamora, has a DI 6-7 forward headed to Valparaiso,
that Bradley had recruited, JT Pettigrew, younger brother of Trey Pettigrew


Update- Monday's opponent will be Bolingbrook who just beat Lake Forest 59-49
Davion Thompson had 22pts, 6 reb, JT Pettigrew had 14 pts, 9 reb

Interestingly, Lake Forest has two players, Grant Mordini & Dominic Mordini, and former Bradley Brave Bruce Mordini does live in Lake Forest, IL - so ya think??

Metamora (12-3) is playing Lake Zurich (6-7) for 3rd place. Lake Zurich doesn't have much size, but they have a couple very good shooters. The game is tied 33-33 at halftime. Metamora beats Lake Zurich 70-67 for 3rd place. Matthew Zobrist with 24 points, Jonah Funk 16. Ashton Grieves 15. Brady Jones 10.

They are now 13-3 and 4-0 in the Mid-Illini Conference. Their next game is Saturday, Jan. 4, at 2 pm against Chicago Morgan Park HS.
