Malevy Leons is now playing with the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G-League.
OKC Blue are 4-1 and tied for 2nd place in the 29 team G-League Tip-Off Tournament - https://stats.gleague.nba.com/teams/...t=W_PCT&dir=-1
Malevy is averaging 11.7 points, 8.7 rebounds (currently the tops on the team), 2.7 assists, and 1.8 steals per game (currently tops on the team). He is shooting 47.9% overall, 42.9% from the NBA-length three points line, and 88.2% on FTs.
Malevy had a great game today in an event called the G-League Winter Showcase in Orlando, Florida.
He had 17 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks, but the OKC Blue lost to Grand Rapids 124-110. - https://x.com/OneMotiveSports/status...19615469474125
The annual G-League Winter Showcase is the NBA G League’s annual in-season scouting event, when all teams converge in one city to play in front of NBA general managers and player personnel executives from all 30 NBA teams. The 2024 event – Dec. 19-22 in Orlando, Florida – will mark the 20th Showcase, featuring 31 games over four days spread across two courts. This is the second season that the G League will host the event in Orlando.... Previous Winter Showcases had been held in Las Vegas, Nevada. - https://gleague.nba.com/showcase-faq

Good luck Malevy!
What does Malevy need to do to make the NBA roster! Man, what a beast!
Larry Bird
I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
ask and you shall receive....Malevy is back with the Thunder.....he did not get in the game last night in a 105-99 victory against Orlando.
Where did you see that? I'm not seeing any report that he's back with the Thunder.
The Thunder roster page doesn't show Malevy, and I am not seeing any recent roster news anywhere.
Malevy's previous NBA contract ended when he was waived by the Thunder a couple weeks ago, and he was under a G-League contract with the OKC Blue. With a standard G-League contract, I believe any team can sign him to their NBA team.
The Thunder would have to re-sign him to an NBA contract if they brought him back to the NBA team, but the NBA transaction page doesn't show any such signing.
watching Malevy & the Oklahoma City Blue...
Malevy kinda quiet offensively but playing awesome defense.
but the real entertainment in this game is Rio Grande Valley Vipers' Reed Sheppard. The guy is on fire...
He is 17-33 and 8-19 from 3-pt with double-teams draped all over him.
He ended with 49 points but OKC won 130-125.
Malevy had 6 pts, 5 reb, 1 asst, 1 steal

That was Reed Sheppard's first G-League game. Sheppard was a terrific shooter in college (at Kentucky). He shot 52.3% from three as a freshman (2023-24) in his only college season. He was the # 3 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets, who just sent him down to the Rio Grande Vipers yesterday because he wasn't getting enough playing time with the Rockets. - https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/sto...e/77488103007/
