This is way off topic, but wondering who is in charge of halftime shows. Is it someone else other than Bradley or does Bradley work in conjunction with another group. Either way I would like to offer some suggestions to spice things up a little. They can not bother to listen, but, would like to put my two cents worth in. Anybody know who to contact. Any info would be helpful.

What are you thinking? Thunder down under? Could get more women to come to the games.
    Gotta stop feeding the trolls.

What about the Bravettes? It would be nice if fans could stay in their seats for 2 more minutes to watch them before they get up and leave. Those girls work very hard, are self funded and self coached. And they are very supportive of the basketball team, as well as other sports and the Bradley community as a whole.

I have already met with Colton and TJ and will meet again to improve the fan experience. Both are motivated to upgrade from the past few years. If you have some specific ideas, you can list them here or contact me. By the way, my wife helped start the Bravettes years ago when Ken Kavenaugh was here He was opposed to it and finally relented.

Years ago, I asked Chris Reynolds to set aside some time at a time out by honoring a service veteran. I go to Blackhawk games, Bulls games and in the past, some Phoenix Suns games and learn from what they have for entertainment. It is amazing that the Bulls have the best attendance in the NBA, but have a disappointing record, mostly due to injuries. But, they do a great job in the total fan experience at the United Center. Same with the Blackhawks

I have always enjoyed watching the Bravettes perform, but the game management team could do a little better job promoting their performances by listing them on the team schedule, and giving them a more proper introduction with some arena lighting features when they come onto the floor. Or better yet, make them a regular feature every halftime (except perhaps during student break).
And, it would be nice if the Bravettes had a dedicated web page on the BU Athletics website (unless I missed it), and maybe a link for fans to donate and help support them.
I was able to find this web page that has a little about their history - https://sites.google.com/mail.bradle...danceteam/home
And, here are a few social media web pages for them if anyone want to give them a follow-

Here's an article from three years ago about the Bravettes and some of the things they struggle with - https://com.bradley.edu/newslab/2021...eserve-better/

Does anyone else remember the Merri-N-Ettes? They were a forerunner of the Bravettes.
It was an all-female student dance team that danced and performed at halftime and sometimes during timeouts of the Bradley basketball games as well as performing at other events. They existed from the 1950's, through the1980's, and it's possible they might have existed even earlier. They were very popular and well promoted by Bradley, as can be seen in this page from a 1977-78 Bradley basketball game program.

I do DC! Always enjoyed watching their smiles.

One of my favorite half time acts was those kids who brought out five gallon plastic buckets and played them as drums. I think they came from Chicago.

There are now a lot of "Bucket Boys" groups doing their act outside of the theaters, restaurants, and on street corners all over downtown Chicago. Some are very good (if you like loud monotone banging), but others are copycat acts that aren't quite as good.

Just an idea of an act for halftime. Whoever is in charge of halftime events, maybe they can work with Bradley theater and find a couple of people that can do a version of the Blues Brothers and the song Soul Man. Seems this would be a great halftime act. Anyone have any other ideas?

Carl Cannon's drum line group from right here in Peoria. He might also have a tumbling group and there are some top of the line gymnastics groups that practice in this area that have gone onto nationals.

Yes, I told the Bradley staff, including CR, exactly your suggestions 8 years ago. I am hopeful that TJ Christie and Colten Kahler are more involved in making the fan experience better. Keep thinking of ideas to help. They all don’t need to cost a lot of money. We can’t duplicate the United Center, but we should be better.
