  • Players Taking Campus Visits

Here are a few of significant note........per various sources...

Iman Shumpert and Tyler Zeller are visiting North carolina this weekend.
Kelvin Sampson is biting his nails, possibly another big hit!

    Stan Simpson is visiting Arkansas

Devin Hill will be visiting DePaul then Bradley

    Joseph Bertrand is visiting Wisconsin

Mario Little and Josh Crittle to visit Kansas State

Kyle Kuric and Nik Garcia visiting Michigan

Brandon Paul and Courtney Bell to visit Northwestern.
Northwestern also is trying hard to get Kyle Rowley there for a visit.

Toure Murray and Evan Ravenel to visit Wichita State

Rob Belcore committed to Ivy League Penn and is visiting this weekend

Verdell Jones says Gonzaga was set to come in for in-home visit soon. He also mentioned that Connecticut, Texas, Kansas, Virginia Kentucky and Oregon are pursuing him.
???I??™m going to go to Kentucky for midnight madness. Kentucky is recruiting me really hard.

Lets Hope we get Devin Hill. BU is in the midst of something special and I think recruits can see that, I really hope he chooses BU. He is planning on committing soon right?

Many of the 2008 kids who are taking visits, generally want to commit and get the whole ordeal of recruiting out of the way, plus if he delays, the offers could dry up, so I think most of the kids we are presently talking about will commit within weeks.

Rob Belcore is a kid Jim Les liked, and has been in contact with for a long time. I don't know that Bradley ever offered him.--

Once again you have to admire the class and ethics this kids shows time and again. After reading the article you can see some of the reasons he kept BU on his list (b-ball only & 3 guard offense) but you have to wonder which of the reasons listed might be why he trimmed BU (Not being considered for the point, one of the players said something "on the side", etc.) I also wonder if JL is still dropping him a note every once in a while just in case he doesn't find that "little thing" he's looking for elsewhere. I also would be interested to know what he told the coaching staff when he decided to eliminate BU.

Any word on how Hill's visit to BU went? Did anyone see him on campus or hear anything about his impressions? Also, if I remember correctly, didn't the coaches visit him at his house out east, and how did that go? Thank you in advance to whoever answers this.
COMMIT TO THE INDIAN!!! - denis savard on his blackhawks, but we should adapt this as a bradley slogan.

Usually the coaches try to keep these visits private and secretive. I haven't heard anything about the home visit with Hill, or with any of the others they have visited recently.

Devin Hill visited DePaul last weekend and is scheduled to visit St. Louis University this coming weekend. He has said he also wants to visit Bradley, but does not have a campus visit set up yet.

I think we have a report in another thread that Hill will visit BU at the end of Sept.

He said he will be coming on an official the weekend of the 27th. This weekend is official at DePaul, next weekend is St. Louis, following weekend would be Bradley. Small chance he might take an official to UMass in early October. Do not see Seton Hall being involved.[/QUOTE]

A couple commits being announced this morning....

Tom Pritchard verbally committed to Indiana. Pritchard is 3-Star, PF, somewhat of a Richard Semrau clone (6-8, played at a small HS), beating out Miami-Ohio, Penn State, Bucknell, Providence and Dayton (not exactly heavyweight competition.)

Iowa State landed Justin Hamilton, a 6-10, 3-Star center from Utah.
Iowa State beat out Weber State, Cal-Poly, and Pepperdine, the only other schools to offer.

And he is a 3-star recruit on Rivals--

But watch for him to rise to 4-stars now that he has committed to Indiana. Some recruiting services, such as CSTV, have him rated as a Top 100 prospect nationally.

Tom Pritchard isn't even the best player on his own high school team.
Delvon Roe is 5 star and #14 rated nationally, committed to Tom Izzo at MSU.
Roe has been compared to Lebron James, and had offers from every top school - UNC, Kansas, Ohio State.
But that's not all, there were 4 other D-I players on Pritchard's high school team, and along with Roe, he had Reid Anderson - now at Albany and Peshon Howard who may be 5 Stars by the time he's a senior, and is getting offers already from Indiana, Michigan State, UCLA, and North Carolina.
Despite having Roe, Pritchard, and 3 other D-I players, their high school team fell short in its run to win the state championship.

Any updates on Simpson or Hill? Will Stan be making any visits to the Hilltop anytime soon?
