That seems like a lot of $$$. If you divide $85.000 by 4500 fans attending, that’s almost $19.00 per fan. But, I’m not in charge of scheduling and I’m sure it not easy to get opponents to play here.
Why would we want to do that? Especially this early? I mean SEMO isn't that attractive of an opponent. If you are looking for a guaranteed win I could think of worse schools to schedule, and it seems strange to me that you'd have to pay SEMO to come here for a game.

This may have been in a contract negotiated 2 or 3 years ago
It's still very early to see teams posting their 2024-25 non-conference schedules, but today, Toledo became the first school to post their non-conference schedule -
Anybody hear anything with regards to Bradley playing in an early season tourney anywhere?
There are rumors that the Myrtle Beach Invitational (a pre-Thanksgiving tournament) is the leading possibility, but no final decision has been made yet.
Teams usually agree with contingencies, but wait until the full field is known before they sign a contract and announce their participation. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrtle_Beach_Invitational
Bradley is in 2024 Myrtle Beach Invitational along with Middle Tennessee, Ohio U., Portland, Princeton, & South Florida
and two teams yet to be named.
November 21, 22 & 24.
Bradley's coming off a 3rd place finish in a strong MVC
Princeton was 55 NET and arguably shoulda got an at-large bid
South Florida handily won the AAC regular season, NET 78, won 25 games
Ohio tied for 2nd in the MAC

Don't know what this person used to come up with these rankings.
My first BU hoops game was on 12/30/1963. My dad took me to watch the Braves defeat Arizona 67-59. He helped me get Coach Orsborn's autograph before the game.
