I guess Nike thinks Ohio State is worth much, much more ($26 million for 7 years) than adidas thinks Indiana is worth.
Ohio State bartered to get a $26 million contract with Nike, but the best Indiana could get with all the scandal happening there was $21 million (eight years) from adidas.
Even Nebraska ($23 million/8 years/adidas) and Kansas ($27 million/8 years/adidas) were able to do better!

With this kind of $$ floating around that NCAA has NO control over, it makes you wonder why most of those kids would rather be the 13th player at a BCS school than start and play at a mid-major, huh?
We've already seen how this shoe company $$ ends up in the pockets of NCAA coaches, high school coaches, AAU coaches, schedulers, camps, clinics, and even recruits' family members.....

The lack of BCS football is what kills us on these deals.
We all know that the big schools have more money, but I didn't appreciate how much more until just the other day. The Omaha World Herald reported that Nebraska football has a net operating profit of $14 MILLION dollars !!!! Just in football!
