Man InStU has me wondering what could have been if we had gotten Cincy at home

There goes the bulls**t line by the announcers that Kent wasn't wanted at Bradley, although they did mention he "he couldn't knock down the three point shots"

100points for Indiana State!!!! I hope they play Seton Hall in the finals! That would be 2 # 1 seeds and Holloway as coach for Seton Hall is a fun match-up vs. SCHERTZ!!!! Proud Indiana State is inthe Valley!!! Go Sycamores!!! Prove no doubt to the NCAA committee that you belonged in the Dance!

Congrats ISU Blue! I’m sure it’s going to drive up the cost for St Louis to hire Schertz.

Coach,we know part of the reason Kent wanted to play again with Robbie was one reason he left. Was there anything going on between Kent and Wardle?

From what I heard it was Kents parents that were not happy with how he was being used.

Jason has done a great job of redefining himself and embracing a different role. He is very impressive and it is a huge change from last year at Indiana State when he averaged 5.1 points, 2 rebounds per game, only started 6 games and did not play in their MVC tournament quarterfinal and semifinal-coaches decision. Good for Jason

Nothing that I have heard. The coaches knew Kent had potential and had no intent to have him leave. Obviously, Jayson and his parents wanted to see him get more playing time.
However, Wardle did not see Jayson as a guard (neither does Josh Schertz), so he was competing with the frontcourt players at Bradley for playing time, and that wasn't going to improve for Jayson's junior year (2022-23). Recall that the main reason Jayson got 20.3 minutes per game in 2021-22 and started 15 of Bradley's games was because Ja'Shon Henry missed 19 games that season with concussions. When Ja'Shon got healthy, and announced he was returning for his 5th year, it created a logjam in the frontcourt for 2022-23 with Ja'Shon Henry, Rienk Mast, Malevy Leons, and Darius Hannah. And with Zek Montgomery coming on strong that season, Jayson was falling farther down the rotation, even at the big wing position. He was not "run off" as has been reported. It was a mutual decision. And, yes, the fact his long-time friend Robbie Avila was going to Indiana State influenced him to transfer there.

And as for the playing time issue, Jayson played a lot less at Indiana State last year, than he did at Bradley the year he left. - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...89/jayson-kent

Happy for Indiana State and glad to see Kent become a very good player.

He also said he missed a lot of shots. That’s how I remember it as well. Love him or hate him, you have to respect the improvement from one year ago.

Definitely a huge part of why he left. In their mind, everything should have revolved around him.

I’m confident if he had stayed at Bradley, we would have seen the same growth. I don’t think him going to Indiana State had anything to do with.

So your saying coach schertz had nothing to do with it?I don't agree with that at all.
