You gotta go buy all your players now. This is fun.

The NIL folks might still be able to make something happen, but from my sources, sometimes expectations exceed reality.
We are now in a recruiting "Dead Period" (see NCAA recruiting calendar below), so there probably won't be much news until April 12.

I think Zek needs to be careful in his decision making right now. He left Bradley because he thought he had a better deal someplace else. Then he campaigns to come back. They open the door for him. Now all of a sudden he thinks he has another better deal someplace else. He better think about how Coach Wardle will respond to that

If this is all true about Zek looking around I would have to think Wardle will move on and that the Zek ship has sailed. We've got other wings that we're looking at that might be better anyway so I would guess one of them will be prioritized along with a big man.

Bingo! And BW doesn’t seem like someone to play around with the nonsense.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

For sure! And I love that about him! Zek - either get on board now or get off (and have regrets later) the BU champion-ship!

BTW,Tom Payne was in Stowell's days. Stowell visited his home and found no other recruiters there. Payne did want to come to
Bradley but as Stowell put it "he couldn't afford to". I think that quote is accurate or close to it.

Hmmm! Maybe it was another 7 ft guy. I am pretty sure it was Tony Barone or Dick Versace. They were on the Dick Versace show Dave used to have on WMBD

Was it Barry Sumpter? He played high school basketball in Illinois and ended up at Louisville.

It sounds like Zek left without any commitment , I was hoping he wanted to play here again but it sounds like he wants more money. If that is true then we need to move on and find a better player.

It was Barry Sumpter from Lovejoy, IL. He was a 6' 11 All-American forward/center (class of 1982 or 83) that Bradley was expected to get a commitment from. Sumpter changed his mind at the last minute and committed to Loui$ville. He played for Louisville two years before flunking out, eventually transferring to Austin Peay. Hard to believe Tony B. and Dick V. are both gone. Dave Snell could tell you the details. I was a senior at the time.

I agree. He is lucky that Bradley would even consider taking him back.
