I assume ISU was not interested as I would think an actuarial science major at ISU would be more attractive. Wouldn't an internship at State Farm would be part of the deal?

State Farm recruits at Bradley too, I have a friend who was an BU actuary major and interned there in Bloomington. Bradley's math department has a really good reputation.

Sounds like a good pick up for Paula. Hopefully MacKenzie can be and "under the radar" steal like Lindsay Stalzer was for the volleyball team a few years ago. Stalzer was an engineer too, another very respected BU department. Good to see more student athlete recruits choosing a school where they can get a good education.

No way am I saying she's not going to be a good recruit. And I am not saying BU is not a good fit for her studies. And I am not saying State Farm does not recruit at Bradley. But wouldn't be easier for a student to intern at State Farm if they were already living in the area?

Also, there are other acturial science internships available in Peoria, RLI comes to mind. But I think State Farm would be the prize on a resume.

Honestly, not anymore. Employers realize it serves their best interests to look around, internships I'm considering next summer... UPS in Decatur, Raytheon in AZ, Harris in FL, Sony in IN... just to give examples.
