For me it's easy to pull for Ind St mainly because of what coach schertz has done coming from Div 2 and turning around a program that has not had success for a long time. The sad part is he will probably be gone once there season is over.

I loved a quote from Coach Schertz at the post-game press conference. After beating SMU, Minnesota, and Cincinnati in NIT home games -- including before a sold-out crowd last night -- he said "Now you know why Power 6 schools don't come here."

I wish we could schedule one or two in Peoria next year, but I'm not holding my breath.

They won't even play teams like Bradley at their place.
They might schedule an Evansville or Valparaiso, but even that is becoming rare after Evansville, the last place team in the MVC, who went 0-18 in the MVC, beat Kentucky in 2019.

The NIT Semi-finals is Set!!! Indiana State will face Utah and Seton Hall will face Georgia. I think we are all hoping for a 1 seed Indiana State to play a 1 seed Seton Hall!!! Both teams were snubbed by the NCAA committee! Although Indiana State I believe more!!!! I want to make 2 more comments: While reading about Seton Hall's Victory, it was noted that their 5 players elected to keep playing!!! The Article points to St.Johns Rick Pitino throwing in the towel before even asking his players a decesion!!! First off I'm so happy stuck up and sore loser Rick Pitino is not playing!!! Even though St.Johns has a rich NIT history, I hope he realizes the stupid decision he made!!! Cincinnati's coach could not even understand why you wouldn't give your team the opportunity to keep playing in March!!! Good for Cincinnati because they gave Indiana State top competition and all they could handle at the hulman center!!!! You want to play great competition and Indiana State Earned there way to Indianapolis!!!! I hope Rick Pitino regrets his decision but no matter, his team is off the Radar and I love that!!!! My last comment is Seton Hall played there game in a historic Gym instead of a big Arena and everyone it appears loved the Atmosphere of a 1300 seat gymnasium!!!! So I ask, why can't Bradley play any post season games at the Historic Fieldhouse???? How great would that be? Would they ever consider that again? Maybe it's just me and nostalgia getting the best of me!!!! Anyway, Go Indiana State at Historic Hinkle Fieldhouse!!!!

I want to clarify that Bradley's historic Fieldhouse is called Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse!!!! I was fortunate as a student at Bradley in the early 80's to witness games played their!!!!! The players sat below the gym and the intimate crowd was right on top of the action!!!! Talk about home court Advantage!!! When the fieldhouse first opened it sat roughly 8200. Then went to roughly 7700. Now with the latest renovations it seats a cozy 5000 fans!!!!

Here are the results from Wednesday night's two quarterfinal games- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...ype/3/group/98

Indiana State will face Utah in the first semifinal game on Tuesday, April 2 at 6 pm Central time (7 pm local time)
The second semifinal game is at 8:30 pm Central (9:30 pm Eastern) between Seton Hall and Georgia. Both games are on ESPN.
The championship game will be Thursday, April 4, at 6:00 pm (Central) on ESPN.

As Stevezall mentioned, the semifinals and final game will be in Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Indiana State has already beaten SMU (AAC), Minnesota (Big Ten), and Cincinnati (Big 12), and they have a chance to beat Utah (Pac-12), and either Seton Hall (Big East), or Georgia (SEC).

I have sat in many games at Hinkle Fieldhouse. Just a lot bigger Robertson Fieldhouse. I believe they did away with the raised floor and put in a regular floor now.
Unique place to play. Loved watching games today.

The historic Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse is gone, completely torn down so it would be hard to play games there, The R.C. replaced it and I wish Bradley would have built more of a replica of it including the raise floor.

Very sad for me that Bradley's Historic Fieldhouse is Gone!??? Why couldn't they save it? Carver Arena is Nice, but with Bradley's Basketball History, it's really a shame the decision makers found no use to preserve Bradley's rich Hoops history. It must of had to do with money and i guess they didnt want to ask the city of peoria to help with maintenance, etc. Oh well, sometimes you just have to except the school wanted to move on!!! When I pulled comments up I heard fans say Bradley had the Best home court in College Ball. UCLA would only face Bradley in Chicago. Louisville Denny Crum hated playing at the Fieldhouse!!!! That alone tells you how special that long ago Era was!!!!!

Now that we've played Cincinnati and an old MVC rival, I have to bring up Scheduling again! The Cincinnati Coach had nothing but high praise for Bradley's resurgent mark. ! He praised B. Wardle for resurrecting a program literally in the Dumps. He said look how far they've come in the last 9-10 years!!! I feel the same way! Look at what's happened to proud past program Louisville and Georgetown and Michigan!!! We are lucky at Bradley for sustained success the last say 5 years or so!!!! With that high praise and respect for Bradley and the fact Cincinnati took our top scout Brian Adam's away from us, why doesn't Coach Wardle just tell them to forget the NET stuff and be high character Cincinnati and play us a home and away 2 year contract!!!! Cincinnati is a great team and I'd love to see their coach and Drew Adam's back at Carver!!! If Drew is his brother as he said who helped him build back Bradley, then let's schedule this series!!! I know Brian Wardle only played at SIU Edwardsville because he's tight with their Coach Barony!! C'mon Cincinnati Play us in Peoria!!!!

I'd love for them even to do a 2 for 1.

Let's do a 2 for 1!!! Now how do we get Brian and Drew and Cincinnati coach to act on this? There is always room in the schedule for 1 more game!!!!
