  • Malevy had a blocked shot near the end of the 3rd quarter but the stats guy gave it to Kelley.
Kinda what we’ve seen for years in the MVC with the stats guys we have.

NBA.com has Malevy with 2 offensive rebounds, an assist and one steal

    • That Vegas roster can't be correct - it's a 2K roster full of starters.

      • Malevy’s final stat line:
        11:43 minutes played, 3-4 overall, 1-2 from 3pt, 8 pts, 2 reb, 1asst, 1 steal and he did have a block (uncredited)

btw, Filipowski looked worthless out there

Malevy did a really nice job.
Agree about Filipowski. He looked disinterested. But he's 7' and played at Duke so he'll get a pass. Meanwhile, the guys who really want it and will do anything to get it get overlooked.
If Malevy plays tomorrow, I'd love to see him get the attention of the announcers. They could barely be bothered to pronounce his name correctly.

          • Malevy Leons finished with a nice game, playing a short stint in the 2nd quarter, and a little longer stint in the 2nd half.
The Thunder lead virtually wire to wire and easily beat the Jazz 98-75.

Malevy went 3-4 from the field,1-2 from three, and 1-2 from the FT line for 8 points in 11:46 of laying time. He also had 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
His 8 points was tied for the highest point total of any player off the bench. I thought he also played pretty good defense for his first game against some NBA level talent.
The Thunder play a 6:00 pm game Wednesday against the Memphis Grizzlies in their final Salt Lake City game. The Grizzlies are 1-1, so far. They lost to the Utah Jazz Monday 97-95 in OT, and they beat the 76ers, 87-85, on Tuesday night.

I also thought he did very well for his first time in a professional game. Wait til he gets settled in and comfortable with the style of play

The end of the game was a clinic of how not to close out a game.

In his first starting assignment in the Las Vegas Summer League, Malevy played 28 minutes for the Thunder.
He had a typical all-around game with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks, as well as playing terrific defense on the Mavericks' forwards. - https://x.com/OneMotiveSports/status...21671125381361
