That is a high priority for the coaches in this recruiting period.
It seems like a broken record, because we say this every year, but Bradley needs:
      > another quality point guard, preferably with D1 experience
      > another sharpshooting guard who can also handle the ball well (replacement for Connor Hickman)
      > a big wing who can score and defend (in the mold of Malevy Leons)
      > another big man who can score, rebound and defend big guys like Avila, Brodie, Dia, etc.

Unfortunately, these kinds of players are what everyone is looking for.

We should be recruiting Avila right now in preparation for Schertz leaving. At the same time, I hope we're reaching out to Benson from Missouri State who plays a lot bigger than the 6'8"size they list him at.

Most of the MVC teams took a huge hit, and the ones that didn't (Valparaiso, Illinois State, Evansville) have a long way to go to become competitive for the top. So the one thing that the portal has done is keep basketball fans interested through April, May, June, and the rest of the summer to see who teams lose and who they will land, and how it affects each team's outlook for next season.
UNI is lurking. They still have Born, Hutson, Anderson, and now have added Weisbrod, who looks like he was born to play at UNI...they have a pretty good foundation with those guys.

Don't you think Robbie will follow coach schertz if he ends up in St Louis?

Yeah, that's a good point. Maybe he likes playing in the MVC?

He did just fine against Cincy, so I think he will. I mean that whole starting 5 has eligibility left. Robbie and Kent probably want to continue to play together...doubtful Jason Kent would consider a come back to BU. Conwell the interesting one because he had played elsewhere before and wanted to come back closer to home (indianapolis)....would he go to ST Louis to be with the others?

Christian Davis just posted this to Twitter (now known as X.com)- https://twitter.com/christiandavi5/s...33956689486110

Pretty sure that means he is not going anywhere.

Love It!! I look for CD to have a great year next year. If he can improve a bit on driving to the bucket he could really have a great year.

Good news, the more that is kept together the better.

Notice in Christian's post, he has pictures of himself with Deen, Hannah, Atlason, & Burch, although one other has Hickman and Malevy as well.

So that looks like the scholarship players for next season are:
Post grad/5th year- Darius Hannah, Duke Deen
                            Seniors- Christian Davis
                            Juniors- Ahmet Jonovic
                            Sophomores- Almar Atlason, Demarion Burch
Freshmen- Jaquan Johnson, Timoty van der Knapp

That is 8 scholarship players, leaving 5 open scholarships

Walk-ons- Sam Hennessy and Cade Hardtke will both be seniors
Unconfirmed- Connor Linke- may return as non-scholarship post-grad
                            Am I missing anyone?

That looks good to me. I have a feeling Wardle will have a good recruiting year. I think the coaches learned their mistakes from the portal last year. They will do better this year

Welcome back, CD! Great news! He's an important part of what made us tick this year. Can't wait to see what he does as a senior!
