Will be a nice getaway from home. Will look up online some of your best steakhouses in your area. Nothing better than a good steak with my favorite side of mushrooms. Oh and by the way. " Go Braves"!!!!
Restauranteur Jeff Ruby has a few outstanding steakhouses in the area: Jeff Ruby's on Vine Street across from Fountain Square downtown; The Precinct a few miles east of the central business district at Columbia Pkwy and Delta Ave; Carlo & Johnny at 9769 Montgomery Ave in Montgomery, several miles northeast of downtown. None are cheap.

Also, the riverfront was completely re-envisioned, with an entertainment district called The Banks, situated between Great American Ball Park and Paycor Stadium (formerly Paul Brown Stadium). A very popular sports bar, right across from first base at GABP, is The Holy Grail.

If you're interested in a world-class zoo, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens is just north of the campus on Vine St. From 2019-2023, a survey of attendees, conducted by USA Today, rated the zoo #1 in the nation. It slipped to #2 this year, but the gardens remain #1.

Thanks Steve, but I'm only interested in watching BU beat the pants off of the Bearcats.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

That may happen. The Bearcats rely heavily on the on-ball defense that Day Day Thomas provides, in addition to his ability to break down pressure by himself. However, it appears that he's done for the season with a foot injury. No official word yet, but very likely. That really messes up the rotations, with the possibility that a walk-on may need to play. The other ballhandling guard, Jizzle James (Edgerrin James Jr.), plays D like the freshman he is, and Wes Miller doesn't allow too many players to see 30+ minutes of action. So, someone has to spell him.

Nothing would make the BU faithful happier. Would love to see a re-match against ISU Blue and get some revenge by ending their post-season run.

I am glad you mentioned Jizzle’s connection to Edgerrin James. That’s a cool story. Also, it looks like an automatic 2-3 points every time he touches the ball based on what I saw from the last game, so that’s a problem.
            Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

He definitely can score. He was a Top 50 player coming out of HS this past season but never had been in a system that made him (and so many others) play defense. USF targeted him and repeatedly took him to the hole. The Dons got nowhere trying that with Day Day Thomas. So, Wes Miller and his staff need to find a way to compensate, or Bradley will carve them up.

John Newman, a 6'6" wing, is a lockdown defender (B12 all D team). He'll most likely be assigned to the best BU player from positions 2-through-4. The Bearcats are a solid defensive team, but just not as good without Thomas.

I was all ready to go to Cincinnati for the first NIT game until we were pleasantly surprised BU was home for Loyola! I went to the game and though attendance fell short, the atmosphere was great! All my friends asked about Sister Jean and they felt bad for her!!! I have family commitments this weekend so I can't go down south. I've never seen BU on the road, so that will have to wait! But rooting for Bradley at home will always be the preferred way! GO BRAVES! BEAT U OF C! I'm greedy.. I want MORE postseason Basketball!!

In a couple of games I've watched the Bearcats play they can definitely struggle to score but they play hard-nosed defense. We will need to be very strong with the ball and be crisp with our passing. And we just can't have any extended scoring droughts. BU has a definite believe in themselves but road games haven't always been this teams cup of tea this season. Need to get after it from the opening tip and just don't stop until the job is done. Go get em boys!

We went to Martino’s and we didn’t see another BU shirt in the place. All Cincy fans.
