I fully get Indiana State’s schedule being weak and not playing their best towards year’s end. No big wins. Fine.
But if the net was created to be a catch all formula that factors who you played in, and they ended up at 29, shouldn’t they be in? What’s the point of creating this net formula if it’s not the main consideration when determining who gets in? If a team 20-30 spots higher than you can get in, what does the formula even matter?

I think the real shame of it all is that we really had the best at large resume of anyone in the Valley. Having knocked off who we did in non conference play, we likely would have gotten an at large if we could have gotten at least two or probably 3 total wins against InSU and Drake.Go Braves!

Regardless of the speculation about why ISU didn’t get in, I’d like to see one of these high profile analysts types discuss in depth why the P6 schools are afraid to play the good Mid-Majors. We know why but I’d love to see and hear those folks discuss it on national TV. And every time a mid-major coach gets some airtime, put out the challenge to the big boys to schedule a game.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Maybe they meant that only happens with the Power Conference teams.Larry Bird
