He started at a DII and had an awesome freshman season averaging 15.5ppg, 6.3 rpg and even hitting 36.4% of his 3-pointers (39-107)
Then he transferred up, and as a sophomore at Niagara in 2022-23, had a very good year- 12.4 ppg, 4.5 rpg.
Aaron's cousin Antone was an assistant coach there at Niagara but then was hired away by Schertz to be assistant at Indiana State.
So Aaron transferred "up" again to Indiana State and there was a buzz about how improved he was and how he'd bolster their offense a bunch!
But, he barely played - kinda wasted the entire year on the deep bench averaging 1 ppg. Then when Schertz went to Saint Louis,
Antone Gray went with him sparking speculation that Aaron would also go to SLU. But now he's chosen to stay
at Indiana State & with their roster is virtually empty, maybe he will get some playing time.

Looks like Valparaiso has picked up another portal transfer. One of their top players last season was freshman Cooper Schwieger (13.2 ppg & 5.4 rpg). His twin brother Carson Schwieger went to Wright State and redshirted this past season. But with Wright State's coach Scott Nagy moving to SIU, Carson Schwieger is transferring to Valparaiso. He still has 4 years of eligibility left.

Belmont gets a portal commitment from Jonathan Pierre of Memphis. He is a 6'10" forward who played his first 2 college seasons at Nova Southeastern, a Division II school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. One year ago, after averaging 14.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg in helping to lead Nova Southeastern to a 36-0 record and a D2 National Championship, he transferred to Memphis. This past season as a junior at Memphis, he did not do very well at the D1 level. He appeared in 19 games, averaging just 6 minutes per game. He averaged 1.9 ppg and 0.7 rpg.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
