BUT upside being he's from Memphis, so would have that strong connex with DB Jr, and he's built. Maybe a guy who can get to the FT line, as that's something we need to do better is draw shooting fouls.
We only have 3 guards with experience. Davis and the Italian are forwards. We also are not sure who will return plus you never can have enough guards.

Crap - I thought Davis was a guard - sure doesn't play like a FW.
I'd like to get a 6'7" to 6'9" FW with some meat who can score and rebound.

If Deen were to leave and we're left with the freshman Johnson at PG, I think he'll get 25-30 MPG. If Deens stays, he may only get 5-10 MPG.
While I'd LOVE for Duke to stay, would be great experience for the freshman at the point, who I hope will be a big part of BU hoops for the next few seasons.

I've watched about a dozen of Jaquan Johnson's streamed games this season. And though he is a prolific scorer for his high school team, most of his points come from drives into the lane, something he won't get much of at the D1 level. He also benefits greatly from the incredibly poor defense I've seen played by Wisconsin high school teams. His team averages almost 80 points per game, and he averages about 33 points because nobody plays defense. Though he might have a high ceiling, IMO, I think Jaquan will have a significant period of adjustment at D1, and probably can't be counted on to play a lot of minutes.

It is difficult to put a Freshman in a significant role right from the start. Having a smaller role til he gets acclimated to college ball would be better. I thought the amount of playing time Burch and Atlason got this season was about right. I expect more from them starting next year

I agree, the games I saw nobody really played defense and Johnson was not making a lot of 3 point shots. His rebounds and passes are good but again it comes against ave. competition. I would be happy if he came in here and ave. 12 a game as a freshman.

I'm not sure he's at CR's level but definitely athletic. CR was a bit of a freak

Agree 100% egib. CR was on a level of his own and was even drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters. Closest thing to CR since he left in my opinion is Hannah and still isn't even there.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Not a guarantee, but Duke just subscribed to my Bradley Braves Youtube channel, so I take that as a good sign that he isn't thinking of going anywhere! Fingers crossed!

Lol, or he is pulling clips to send to other schools. Sorry for being the pessimist, but I just hate this new transfer age.

I agree with your intuition. I dont think he would subscribe to it if he was leaving. Sounds like he is proud of what he has done at Bradley as well he should be. Time will tell.

I think we need more guards, but what would really thrill me is to get some serious bulk inside. Someone on the order of Massive Mike Williams.

Valparaiso's Cooper Schwieger, the MVC Freshman of the Year, posted this to his social media- https://twitter.com/TVBOren/status/1768395858976846296

It's sad now that fans have to hope and wait for their team members to declare if they are staying or leaving each year.

He is staying until he gets an offer he cannot turn down. He needs to get stronger .
