How fun was THAT? I loved the "MVC" chant at the end. I was happy to see that Indiana State came back to win, and hope Drake makes it an MVC trifecta tomorrow.
We are going to miss Malevy Leons. What an elite defender and player! Probably our best defender since David "The Sheriff" Thirdkill was locking up opponents. Thank you, Malevy, for great memories . . . and keep 'em coming!
Dave Snell said on post game show that a Cincinnati loss means our next game would be at the Coliseum instead of Carver bc there's a rodeo at Carver this weekend. Would be an amazing atmosphere!
Much like Malevy in a game, I think what he did here for the program will never really be fully seen or valued. But he has surely lifted this program. Snell talked about history altering players in the post game, and I'm not comparing him to Hershey, but I believe his presence here over the last 3 years has certainly put Bradley in a more established and consistent position to be successful - more than any other player in the same period. For some reason Malevy is one of those players that tends to go a little bit in noticed, but does so much on the court. I'm very grateful he got to play this extra game at home. Let's see if he can get another home game, and his first at Ren Col!
ALso, the crowd - although smaller - was flat out amazing and the game was a blast to be at.
Bradley is a winning program with 4 post season appearances in the last 5 years. How sweet it is especially after that very tough decade we had to get through.

Can't say better things about Malevy. Also, I am pretty sure that MVC chant got started by a couple class of 09' alumni.

Yeah...I've been in college for a while now and I'm pretty sure that awesomest is not a word. -Andrew E.
It was a great win, Loyola"s guards got real physical with us in the second half and the refs called it like a true NCAA game. We need to cut down the turnovers in order to win the next game because Hannah and Linke had 7 between them.
That attendance number is a bit hard to swallow. Definitely felt more full, the lower bowl was pretty much full. I remember the NIT home game against Providence was a white out and I am sure it was pretty close to capacity. Sad to see it where it is now, even with a winning program like this the last 4-5 years.

Yea but that's not a Bradley problem. It's just the stature of the tournament. Seton Hall literally played in front of 1500. Our attendance will stand very tall compared to other NIT games.
Sure thought it looked like more then that.
I would have guessed closer to 6000 as the whole lower bowl was full.
Close game in Cinncy but Cinncy pulled it out.
Great win at home, first post season win at home since 2007 against Providence when I was in school (I don't count CIT). It was a tough game and the BU starters really stepped up and got the job done. We will need more from the bench to keep winning imo.
Being at the game, there was another goal tend that was not called, Loyola knocked it off the back board and the refs didn't call it, imo should have definitely been a goal tend. Additionally, in the second half Loyola was allowed to hack at the BU players non-strop. IMO there should have been around 8 more fouls on Loyola.
All the sudden hand checks were only being called on us.

Definitely not over 5k. I can always tell by the upper bowl centers - they were pretty light tonight. Doesn’t help when most of the upper bowl ticket prices are double the regular price.

The price more then likely hurt attendance as 4 or more upper bowl seats would have cost 88.00 for 4 and 132 for 6. I think at 10.00 they might have sold another 1,000 tickets. For whatever reason fans are not attending these NIT games and that has been true at almost all venues.
