Over the final 2 weeks of the season, Tucker DeVries had 21, 28, 39, and 29 points in his final 4 games, while Xavier Johnson had 7, 12, 9, and 24 over his final 4 games. That made the final numbers for MVC scoring leader extremely close.
Tucker DeVries finished the season with 657 points in 30 games for a scoring average of 21.90 points per game.
Xavier Johnson finished the season with 682 points in 31 games for a scoring average of 22.00 points per game.

Interesting to see that 2 former Illinois State guards were among the top 10 nationally in 3 point FG%- Antonio Reeves, now at Kentucky, was 4th in the country with 44.2%, and D.J. Horne, now at North Carolina State, was 8th in the country at 43.1%
