Turnovers and Tucker Devries. End of story, that was the difference in the game. Hope we are ready to go in STL.

Also Brodie crying when he came out of the game. I understand his emotion...dude is nearly 30 and he finally has to face the real world after his next 3-4 games.

Last one....Drake scored 25 points at the FT line. We scored 7.

          Final score: Drake 74 Bradley 66 - https://stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=484254

Bradley played well enough to win, except for the turnovers. 16 Bradley turnovers, to Drake's 8 turnovers, along with a lot more whistles and free throws for the home team (Drake was 25-26, Bradley was 7-7) made the difference.

Bradley finishes the conference season 13-7, and in 3rd place.

Last year we beat Drake in the final game of the season and Drake went on to win the tournament. Time to reverse roles this year, boys!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Ya Bradley played well enough to win other than unforced sloppy turnovers. That can’t happen next weekend. I also thought this wasn’t Brian’s best game at the end. We had tons of momentum before that timeout to draw up a three for Leons, who hasn’t been very good from there this year for the most part. I would have let them keep playing and not called the timeout. Also, Linke has done fine as a backup big, but I thought he stuck with him a little too long instead of Hannah at the end, and it cost us on a couple of possessions on both ends.

Side question: I guess if Linke is good enough to be the backup big (basically play physical D and set hard screens), then why did it take so long to try him instead of Thomas or Meta? Maybe the other two have more potential I guess? I still thought Thomas looked ok at times. I’m genuinely curious on this one.

I’m glad it appears we have SIU or UIC first game, I wanted no part of UNI or Belmont. Hope we clean up the sloppy play for this weekend.

Another game where we get into a big hole in the first half. Make a comeback in the second half, but can't get over the hump. Seen too many games like that this year. Overall this game didn't really matter though, since we were locked into the 3 seed. Still would have liked a win going into the tournament to get some sort of momentum/confidence going

Today 8 teams got more offense off their bench. The other thing is Linke had a career high 6 points and Burch also had 6 with Davis at 3. We need to get more production from are players coming off the bench in order to beat teams like Drake and Ind. St. We cannot expect Deen and Hickman to score 40 or more together in order to win these games. When you hopefully play 3 games in 3 days you need that production from more then 4 players because right not Atlason is really struggling on both ends of the court.

Agree, that play was hard to understand when you just came out of a timeout. Not having Hannah in the last 4 minutes was kind of strange. I still like Thomas the most for your backup center.

Once again our consistently inconsistent team reared its ugly head. I know Brian is tired of seeing the same old story. Your starting backcourt has to be better then getting 2 assists, 0 steals and commit 7 turnovers. Never a good thing when you have 6 more turnovers then assists. For us to be successful at Arch Madness we have to be able to play defense without fouling. Both ISU Blue and Drake have shot 100 more FT's than we have so we have to do a better job of defending without fouling when they are being aggressive going to the hoop. Offensively too many times 2 of the 5 guys we have in the lineup are non factors and makes it a lot easier to defend us. Absolutely need to be smart with the ball. Do I think we have the talent to win it all? Yes. Can we?

I think we can beat anyone of these teams but winning 3 games in 3 days almost impossible to do when you do not have enough good offensive players. I hope they prove me wrong because I want them to win it all again this weekend.

Just some dumb careless ones. Linke just handed the ball off one one.

Not really discouraged by this game. All that matters now is St Lou! Glad we face SIU instead of UNI.
Unfortunately I think BU will not be representing the MVC 1st team. We never seem to get considered and top scorers seem to be a shoe-in. Roberts made 1st team and I didn’t think he really deserved it, but he was a scorer.

Duke and Leons easily will make 2nd team with Hickman and Hannah on 3rd team, unless they give Hannah Most Improved award.
Leons undoubtedly will repeat as Def POY.

Honestly, I think we need to recruit just about every position for next year. That may be the norm now anyway in today’s world with kids leaving every year, but even with everyone back we still need one of everything in an ideal world. For sure we need a guard or two, and a post or two, and a stretch four wouldn’t be bad either.
