Swope has been playing 38 to 40 minutes per game since Thanksgiving & as the season drags on towards St. Louis, his production is declining noticeably.
Schertz played him all 40 minutes in their loss to SIU (he went 2-8 and 0-6 from 3pt), then Swope was forced to sit out their next game vs. Valpo.
No word yet if can play today vs. UIC

He put up numerous 20, 25 and even 30 point games thru January but now hasn't hit 20 for the past month.
He also was hitting almost 50% of his 3-pointers most of the season, but in the last 5 games now just hitting 12-49, 24% !
Gotta wonder how 3 games in 3 day is going to have an impact on those knees.

I have seen some of their games recently and I would leave him open from 3 as he is struggling with his shot probably because of his knees. When your legs and ankles are not 100% you do not get the same push off of them to complete your shot. I think that could be why Connor has struggled recently.

Their coach, Josh Schertz, did say that Swope will play today - https://twitter.com/Rick_Sports10/st...32151251480601

gotta think they'll restrict his minutes given they should get up on UIC
