I’d prefer to believe that for some men out there, loyalty and team first mentality are still considered wise attributes.

While we are at it let's get Mast back. I think he has one more year of eligibility...if I did my math right.

Even in a scenario with everyone eligible back, we still have the potential to offer starting spot battles at the 3 and 4. Zek is the exact kind of player we need at the 3. Atlason/Davis may be able to handle some four minutes. I think Atlason is actually best suited as a stretch four. With the potential to be a Valley favorite, could we land an even better guard than Zek? Do we take the known quantity or what’s behind the curtain? I think I’d take Zek as the known quantity, but maybe I’m gun shy from the transfer situation this year. I’m concerned Zek’s three percentage went way down this year. I’d love a guy than can shoot at the three spot. It’d make us deadly behind the arc with Atlason, Hick, and Deen.

Zek is not coming back. I highly doubt he would want to, nor do I think he'd be welcomed.

Why is this a conversation about Zek?I think Wardle was quite clear on his views, once you leave you are not coming back.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

Again, that quote was specifically referring to the players on his roster last year, and that they would not be allowed to withdraw from the portal and return to the team.
If Zek or Rienk were interested in returning to Bradley via another trip through the transfer portal, our coaches would be open to that.

With Darius Hannah's repeated answer of "I'm going to take a fifth year" in response to Dave's questions yesterday, I'm more worried about losing Hannah than a theoretical Zek return.

Sorry da coach,I have to disagree with you on this one.Wardle is all about loyalty. If those players that left and had an opportunity to come back they would have.It doesn't matter who you are talking about That's just my opinion.

This is a key distinction. Yes, Wardle's policies may have some implication about loyalty... but it's more about logistics and roster planning each season.

We can't be held hostage each year during recruitment phase not knowing if a player is leaving or not... unsure if we can pick someone up or not while they test the portal interest.

This roster uncertainty / fluidity is the result of the NCAA changing the game, and you have to play their game.

If we have open roster spots, we should take the best we can get from the portal (or otherwise), regardless of whether they've played at BU or not previously.

Sports Illustrated just listed 5 players called “Spring Surprises” as emerging X-Factors on title-contending NCAA teams. Two are transfer portals from the same MVC school-Lance Jones to Purdue and Marcus Domask to Illinois. NO mention of their original team - Southern Illinois University. ANOTHER SNUB!

Deal! I wouldn't be upset if I was wrong. However, with the amount of kids in the portal each year, I don't see it happening especially with NIL being a factor.
