haha, LB! I said about that exact same thing to Dub at the game yesterday! Dub reminded me that he will be impossible to replace as he just does everything so well.

On the officiating, I thought the 1st half was decent, but the 2nd half was wildly inconsistent! From my perspective, this year's officiating has been pretty decent and I tend to judge it based on how often and how quickly we get into double bonus. Compared to previous years, I think it's been relatively tame, which is always good for BU as Wardle teams tend to play better when the flow of the game isn't stopped every 30-60 seconds. You can see our shooting percentage drop at the same velocity that the whistles are being blown, so less is more in my opinion.

All in all, the inconsistency in the 2nd half went both ways and there were times they'd call fouls when there didn't appear to be any contact, and the next play there would be full body contact scrums and no whistle. Very strange, but I try not to complain too much about the officiating when we come out of it with a victory.

All in all there were 37 fouls called, which is closing in on 1 per minute and that is WAY too many in my mind. At some point, you gotta let the kids play, especially the off the ball stuff, but like I said, hard to complain when we come away with a win. Was glad to see a double digit victory and a lead throughout the entire game. That is unusual against a Jacobson coached team, even with Bowen Born clearly at less than 100%.

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.

every coaching staff studies and knows which refs are inclined to call what types of fouls, and this crew
tends to give the calls to the guy who drives, puts shoulder down and crashes into defender.
Jake knew if his guys consistently initiated contact, especially in the lane or driving from the wing, that
they'd get the fouls to go their way and they're a very good FT shooting team. It helped them a little
but Bradley also had one of their better FT shooting games. Personally I find a game like that "ugly basketball"
and I see Chris Collins thinks the same.

The officiating was really bad in the second half. I do not judge it by whether we win or not but by consistency. The Born flop where Davis did not touch him and Leons getting called when the UNI guy elbowed him were just bad. Never have liked the way Self and Smith ref a game. Congrats to the way our team came out strong and jumped on UNI .

And, yes, Almar gets called for fouls that other player don't get called for. Maybe it's because he is a freshman, or maybe it's his bigger body that the refs just anticipate a foul. He works hard to avoid fouling, and even the coaches seem to think some aren't justified.
There was supposed to be an emphasis on flopping, or at least there was a couple years ago. It would be nice if the coaches could get a challenge, or at minimum the league office could review and after so many a player would get suspended. I hate how the game is trending towards the way you see flops in soccer.

I'm only one person, but I have not had that happen to me for months, though I recall something like it a long time. It works so well for me, I can even pause for 30 minutes before Wardle comes on the post game and I have some household stuff to do and then queue it right back up later. I do not have premium, so I am not really sure how I can help, but it works wonderfully for me syncing TuneIn app with any TV broadcast.

Totally unrelated, I saw today that our RPI is up to 35? I know nobody seems to care as much about it anymore, but that's still pretty impressive.

Wednesday's game was another example of just how good our defense is when we can win by 16 when we shoot 8-30 from 3. We have most definitely picked it up from the FT line as we shot 101-130 (78%) from there in January. The last 5 games we've shot 58-66 (88%). I don't mind all of the 3's we've been taking but we need to be more efficient with them in the paramotors of the offense. When we move the ball on offense it's pretty to watch. And if a guy is hot can we please keep feeding him the ball. I am being a bit nit picky but I'm getting like Wardle with this team. Expect a lot and want more which I think this team is capable of. Hope to be at the CEFCU Arena in Normal on Saturday to watch the boys pluck some Redbirds.

Thank you Tommy for putting the Northern Iowa game on YouTube. You help quench my thirst for Bradley by re-watching the games after the win. Note I dont re-watch the games that they lose. I dont want to re-torture myself.

Just re-watched the Game and just as I suspected . Several calls against Bradley that were not, 2 on Jonovic and the one on Davis where Born flopped. And several no calls. I would not last long as a coach in a game with that kind of referring.
