Yes the game was disappointing. Had a chance at the end. Forget this one and get ready for UNI. They will come in hoping to beat us. They are one game behind us in the standings. Have to be realistic that Bradley was not going to run the table. But let's go on another win streak starting Wednesday. Can still finish top 3 or 4 and maybe still win the conference depending how all the other games play out. Either way hope we can meet Indiana St. in St. Louis. We owe them a loss. "Go Braves"

You have to take it one game at a time. Start a new winning streak on Wed. and not worry about anything else. There are all kinds of things that can happen before the end of the season. We are 7-3 , 2 games out of first with 10 games left. Just keep winning games and getting better as a team each day. We as a team are as good as anybody else in this league period.

And if we are in the position of worrying about being in the play in round, that means we will have lost ALOT OF GAMES. Hence, my comment of it being a long year if we are playing to “ensure we’re playing on Friday”. Those are the things teams like Valpo, ISU Red, UIC, Evansville, and Mo. State worry about.

Yowsers that is the #1 goal of the season in my mind. As nice as it was to win the Valley reg. season last year, whoever wins it this year will have had faced a bigger challenge to do so with the better competition overall, AND most important, likely gets an At Large bid!

The coaches care about winning every game, and the regular season, although it is not the #1 priority. I think that is probably what carter means.
Every MVC coach's priority is to get as high a seed as possible and win the tournament. Even with Indiana State's success, and it not likely the MVC will get 2 bids. The only hope for 2 bids is for Indiana State to win out, and make it to the MVC Tournament championship game, and get upset by another team.
Even then, in order to get an at-large bid, they will have to hope there are very few upsets in other conference tournaments that give auto bids to teams that stood no chance otherwise, thus requiring an at-large bid to other teams.

I know smaller schools get screwed every year but it would be seem to be almost insane if Indiana State was 30-4 and wasn't a lock for an at large bid. They are already in the middle of the receiving votes territory in the polls, have a NET of 25. I can't even imagine how high they'd be if they win out the rest of the Valley season and then get two more wins in the Valley tournament. They also currently have zero bad losses.
If they slip up a little, yes, then I can see how they could get overlooked even if a great say, 28-6 record. But if they get to 30 or maybe even 29 wins ... it should be a certainty.
What about us? Say we get all but two the rest of the regular season and win one in STL - I believe that would make us 24-8. I know they changed the methodology for the NIT but I wonder if we have any shot. (Obviously, we want to win Arch Madness, but as a consolation prize ...)Go Braves!
