I believe Thomas is a much better option because he can guard bigs both inside and outside. Thomas is also a better post passer and rebounder. Meta needs to be more mobile and hopefully they can work with him more this summer on agility drills.

First off as for the refs I just don’t understand how they let almost all of the physical stuff go yet ticky tack fouls get called. The worst call was the one they didn’t call against Hannah as he hip checked Avila out of bounds. As for flopping after shooting a 3 I don’t see that hardly called in any games so unless it’s over the top obvious it won’t be called. I as well didn’t understand why we had Hickman with the ball at the end of the game especially since he wasn’t having one of his better games. Another thing I didn’t understand. Duke had 26 points with 11:00 left in the 2nd half. He took 2 shots the rest of the half, none of them in the last
4 1/2 minutes. The Sycamores didn’t change the way they were guarding Duke. So unless Duke was either injured or too tired you have to get the man with the hot hand the ball, especially at the end of the game. Our offense recently consists of either early 3’s or hero ball and that’s not a really effective way to score points. Last 2 games we had 11 assists off of 27 made shots and 9 assists off of 34 made shots. That’s why we go on these extended scoring droughts. ISU had 18 assists on their 33 made baskets which is why they score a lot of pointss and are tough to guard. Having said all of that we had a chance to win the game so just be more efficient on offense and don’t let Jason Kent get 16 rebounds, 5 of them offensively, and if we see them in St Louis we’ll take them down

I don't think metta has been playing because he has a hard time defending the pick and roll. If we switch he doesn't have the lateral quickness to defend a quick guard that leads to a lay up or a wide open kick out 3. I hope he can work on his lateral quickness in the off season. He can still be a valuable piece down the road because he has some nice offensive skills

I just want to reiterate what the Indiana St.Coach said." Bradley has a Championship DNA. They just keep coming at you"! Forget that we lost a great played Game! To me that Compliment means more to the overall Character Bradley has on and off the court! Look up DNA...there is no higher compliment!

Originally posted by Southside View PostI thought the way they called the game was inconsistent, but it evened out in the end. Several very questionable calls on both sides. The play were Avila go bumped and stepped out gets called a foul 9/10 times. The last possession, Hickman got his pocket picked, calling the foul on ISU was very questionable.
I will say the ISU crowd was the whiniest I’ve heard in a long time. They expected every single call and let the refs know when they didn’t get it.

Obviously you watched with a biased opinion as well then because if that’s the worse you’ve seen a home team treated then that says a lot about the type of officiating you guys normally have.

I don't think BU has faced a racous crowd like that this season and maybe just 1 or 2 times last.
We knew this was gonna be a tough one to pull out, and Indy St. is legit.

Note that Indiana State is now 18-3. Their only losses this season are at Alabama (Top 25 team, NET #7), at Michigan State (Ranked as high as #4 early this season, current NET #25), and at Drake (Drake is 11-0 at home, NET #47). They are undefeated at home (9-0), and in their 8 previous home wins, the average margin of victory was 29 points, and only one game was closer than 21 points- a 14 point win over UE)
In their previous MVC home games, they beat SIU by 29, Evansville by 14, Belmont by 30, and Missouri State by 22, for an average margin of victory in home MVC games of 24 points.
So Indiana State is for real, and though a loss is still a loss, for Bradley to play them even for 40 minutes with a great chance for the win in regulation, only to lose in OT, is nothing to be depressed or ashamed about. If Bradley plays that well the rest of the season, I expect these 2 teams to meet again in the MVC Tournament on a neutral court, where IMO, Bradley will win.

The Indiana State win over Bradley has boosted the Sycamores in the national polls a little.
This morning's AP media Top 25 shows them outside the Top 25, but among the "Others receiving votes" with 5 votes, as opposed to just 1 last week.- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...4/seasontype/2
In the USA Today Coaches poll, they are among "Others receiving votes" with 13 votes, as opposed to just 4 votes last week.
They are still # 24 in the NET ranking, the same as they were prior to beating Bradley- https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basket...l-net-rankings
