Immediately after luring Tracy Webster to Kentucky, highly touted recruit
Darius Miller has verbally committed to Kentucky, spurning Illinois.
This is what the hiring of Webster was all about.
"Darius Miller
Kentucky landed a huge verbal commitment on Friday morning when four-star Mason County swingman Darius Miller decided to end his recruitment.
"Darius called Billy Gillispie this morning and told him that he wants to play for him at Kentucky," said the player's father, Brian Miller.
Miller (6-6, 216) is rated the No. 7 small forward in the country by Rivals.com and the No. 45 prospect overall. As a junior at Mason County, he averaged 20 points, 9.5 rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots."
All the more salt rubbed in the wounds of the Illini nation.
BW can only sit and watch as masters of recruiting continue to make him look silly and impotent.
Another new interview with Miller says he had apparently eliminated Illinois already, especially since Webster left, and his final decision this morning was between Louisville and UK, and he selected UK.
A couple new articles about former Illinois recruit Darius Miller and his commitment to Kentucky. It sounds like he had decided to eliminate Illinois even before the news broke about Tracy Webster moving to Kentucky. Maybe Bruce Weber knew that, and that played a part in his decision to let Webster leave.--
