The game was close into the 2nd half, and was tied with about 16 minutes left. But then Iowa pulled away to win easily 94-76.
Both Mast and Krikke had good games- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401600327

It was harder than I thought it would be to watch Mast again, especially in a red uniform not too different from BU.

That stat line is something else - 6/8 from three and 34 points...crazy.

After dominating Ohio State this past week, Nebraska is playing at Maryland today. But they are struggling and were down 17 points at halftime.
For some reason, Fred Hoiberg appears to have altered his offense for this game, and he has Rienk Mast playing almost exclusively at a high post, setting picks well away from the basket. As a result, Rienk, who was 13-17 from the floor and 6-8 from three against Ohio State, is not even looking to shoot in today's game. It's still early in the 2nd half, but Rienk is just 1-2 from the floor. Their guards have taken 23 of the 27 shots for Nebraska and they are now down by 22 points.- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401600355

I am not sure why Hoiberg wasn't posting Rienk in the lane, where he's been very efficient this season. Now that they are down 20+ points, it appears Rienk is now starting to post closer to the basket.

Probably because Maryland's strength is their lane defense. They have very athletic bigs.

Another top 10 team goes down as Rienk Mast and Nebraska, which was down 27-8 and still down 16 at the half, came back to beat Wisconsin in overtime 80-72. Nebraska never led in the game and tied it up at 52 with 8:44 left but it looked like Wisconsin had reestablished itself by going up 7 with 4:13 left. Mast made 2 straight 3's, the last one a step back shot with 1:04 left to tie the game at 65. They got their first lead with :25 to go on 2 FT's and had 3 fouls to give but somehow Wisconsin's AJ Storr, who led the Badgers with 28 points, was able to drive the ball to the lane without getting fouled and made a layup to tie it at 67 with :20 left. Nebraska couldn't get a basket and it went to OT. After a Wisconsin Ft Mast made a shot that put Nebraska up for good. Rienk had 14 of his 20 poiints in the 2nd half and OT. He also had 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Unless they falter down the stretch Nebraska will be dancing in March. Oh here's an amazing stat. Wisconsin had been 120-0 when up by 15+ points at the half.

Rienk leads them in rebounding and assists and is just.4 behind in scoring. I know there was some question about whether Rienk could physically play in the Big Ten but he's proven that he's had the answers.

Nice to see Rienk get some revenge against Wisconsin after last year's NIT loss. Wisconsin and their big stiff Steven Crowl, who got hot in that NIT game and made all those threes to beat Bradley, thought they had seen the last of Rienk. But Rienk comes back to haunt them with 20 points, 8 rebounds, and a game-high 3 assists. He also held Crowl, Wisconsin's starting center and second-leading scorer, to just 1 point in 37 minutes! - https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401600363

Right! Between Rienk, Krikke, and Domask the Big 10 is the new Valley!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
