Game 3. ISU Red vs Evansville. Both teams are capable of either a good or bad game but hopefully it’s a more competitive game then the previous two

So far it’s Evansville 11 Myles Foster 7 with 11:12 to go. Foster is 3-6, the rest of ISU is 0-6

Another low-scoring, ugly game. Illinois State had just 5 points in the first 8+ minutes, and now with 7:50 left in the half, Evansville leads 15-11.
The two teams combined to shoot 9-35 from the floor and 1-15 from three.
ISU is 4-14 overall and 0-3 from three. Evansville is 5-21 overall and 1-12 from three. 4 of ISU's 5 starters are scoreless.

A game of marksmanship it has not been as Evansville leads ISU 25-21. Evansville shot 9-30 overall, 3-16 from 3 while ISU shot 7-22 overall, 1-8 from 3. Foster has 11 on 5-8 shooting. The rest of the team was 2-14.

The shooting picked up a little for both teams in the final minutes of the first half, but not a lot.
ISU finished the first half 7-22 overall and 1-8 from three. Evansville was 9-31 and 3-16 from three.
            Halftime Score- Evansville 25 ISU 22- https://www.espn.com/mens-college-ba...meId/401625661

Evansville's leading scorer on the season, Ben Humrichous, had just 2 points on 0-5 shooting (0-4 from three). ISU's leading scorer, Darius Burford, also had just 2 points, and Johnny Kinzinger, who has been their best scorer in the last month, had just 1 point.

With all the terrible shooting statistics in these first 3 games, maybe someone should measure the diameter of the rims.

I will note that the production value of these telecasts is terrific. They have plenty of camera angles, the video quality is excellent, graphics are good, and the broadcasters, studio analysts, and sideline interviewers are all very good. Nice job by the MVC-TV Network.

If we were on the bubble maybe I'd care more, but teams have letdowns, that was a road game that we didn't show up for.

Yeah after the 5 game losing streak in December nothing really mattered in that regard anymore imo besides St. Louis.

Both teams deserved to lose this game. So far the first 3 games have not been good, Belmont was really the only team so far today that played well and looked like they could win a championship.

With 37.7 ISU was just down 2 a flagrant 1 foul was called against Foster, one of the dumbest fouls I’ve seen as he did right in front of the ref against a guy, Tanner Cuff, who had only 2 points and was just coming back in bounds when Foster threw an elbow at Cuff’s head. Cuff made both FT’s and he got fouled on the ensuing possession and made 1-2. Johnny Kinziger put up a bad 3 and that was it. This was the 3rd straight game that the team that won never trailed in the game

Game 4 is SIU vs UIC. We’ve actually already had a lead change! UIC is playing well so far as they are up 26-20 with 7:29 to go in the first half.

UIC and Valpo both seemed to get better toward the end of the season

Watching UIC blow their lead is really disappointing. I dislike SIU more than ISU.
