I would assume the spaghetti dinner will take place in the student center ballroom, which holds a lot more people.

To me the ITOO get together was really the start to the new season. With all the new players this year, it's a shame because most fans don't get to meet the players during their career, except for functions like this. The Fieldhouse isn't the place to hold something this big anymore. Also, nothing kept the students from coming to the ITOO Hall.

I agree. The potential is there for this to be better than the ITOO Hall and I hope the athletic department does this right. I always had the perception that the ITOO Hall crowd consisted mainly of alumni and local fans. --nothing wrong with that-- But I think this could be a way to bring the students back into the fold as a support group for the team. Something that has been very detached since the move to the Civic Center.imo

Duh, that's what the supper was for. For the alumni, the local fans AND the students to meet their team. One night at the Fieldhouse is not going to increase student involvement. The students know how to get to the ITOO hall and the Civic Center, it's up to them to get there.

Hopefully, once the new athletic facility is finished, things like this, and others like midnight madness, pre and post-season galas, and exhibitions will be great events.

You will still meet the Braves this year. They are just putting the two events together.

Well HELLO.... If the students know how to get to the ITOO Hall which I am sure that they do as well, how come there has not been more of a student turnout at that event?
By saying this, I am not calling out the students at all. I am simply illustrating the fact that there is a detachment between the students and the team that has existed since BU moved their games to the Civic Center. I welcome the change to bring this event on campus.

It would happen sooner or later, and as DC stated, this could be the beginning of some great events when the new facilities are completed. Why not have one more memory at the Fieldhouse.

All the students have to do is keep going past all the bars on Farmington Road and they will wind up on top the hill where the ITOO is. If they didn't, that's their fault.
