UNI survived an attempted 3 at the buzzer and got a Valley road win at Missouri State winning 64-62. UNI led by as much as 13 in the first half but the Bears were able to cut the lead 33-29 at the end of the half. After the Bears took the lead for the first time at 50-49 with 8:13 to go the game seesawed back and forth 8 times in the next 6:00. Bowen Born made a layup right at the shot clock horn to put them up 60-59 then made a 3 on their next possession to go up 4. Alston Mason made a 3 with :35 left to get it back to a 1 point lead. Nate Heise got fouled with :12 left and he made the 1st FT but missed the 2nd to set up the end of the game 3 point attempt by Nick Kramer who missed a wide open in rhythm shot. Born had 21 for UNI while Cesare Edwards led the Bears with 25 points and 8 rebounds. In fact he outscored the Bears starters 25-23.
