Belmont head coach Casey Alexander was ejected from this game with 1:15 to go in the first half as he was apparently arguing a non foul call. Or could have been arguing how one player, SIU guard Xavier Jonhson, shot as many FT's then Belmont did to that point. Johnson ended up 12-13 and as a team SIU was 23-24 from the FT line. Belmont was down 58-55 with 6:28 left but that was as close as they would get. Johnson led SIU with 18 points while Malik Dia had 25 for Belmont.

UIC and Murray State were tied at 43 at the half. Murray was leading 69-65 with 6:08 left and was able to outscore the Flames 16-8 the rest of the way. Murray had 5 guys in double figures led by Brian Moore Jr who had 20. Tobi Okani led UIC with 20.

Drake never trailed against ISU Red, starting the game on an 8-0 run. Drake ended the final 4 1/2 minutes on a 17-5 run to lead by 19. The second half was not close as Drake was able to extend their lead to as much as 32. Tucker DeVries had 22 points, 4 rebounds and six assists for Drake while Darius Burford led the Redbirds with 14.

Belmont Head Coach Casey Alexander was ejected late in the first half with the score tied 28-28, for arguing a traveling call on his center Malik Dia, which wiped out a basket in the lane- https://twitter.com/BettsOnSports/st...64076703891757

He must have used some choice language, because I'm not sure I've ever seen a coach get ejected as quickly as Alexander was. It took no more than two seconds of arguing with the official to get his first technical foul call, then about 1½ seconds more to get a second technical and get ejected by official Antinio Petty. Even the announcer commented "I don't know that I've seen that quick of an ejection...in a long, long time".

Here is a video of the traveling call, and Alexander's ejection- https://twitter.com/jamfan40/status/1742363933799747798
Dia does shuffle his right foot after completing his dribble, but that was not his pivot foot, his left foot was. So maybe Alexander had a good reason to be upset. I saw a couple twitter posts saying he was also upset about what he thought was overly physical play by SIU that he felt favored SIU.
The box score shows SIU was 23-24 from the free throw line for the game, and their leading scorer Xavier Johnson was 12-13. Belmont was 13-18- https://siusalukis.com/sports/mens-b...boxscore/12427

He should not have been ejected at that point. Just a ref that should have been able to handle the situation better and not be so quick to get rid of a coach that quickly. I highly doubt the language had anything to do with being ejected.
