This is the only game between Valparaiso and Bradley this season, as Valpo is the one MVC opponent that does not visit Peoria.
After winning 4 of their first 6 games in new Head Coach Roger Powell's first season, Valparaiso has now lost 7 games in a row, including their first 2 MVC games to Drake and Belmont. They are 4-4 on their home court.
Bradley has won the last 5 games against Valparaiso, including the last 3 in the Valparaiso ARC. All-time Bradley is 11-5 against Valparaiso, though Valpo is 5-3 all-time in their ARC.

Valpo starter and leading scorer Isaiah Stafford (16.2 ppg, 28.2% from three), a 2023 juco transfer from NJCAA National Champion John A. Logan CC, did not play in their last game due to injury. He suffered a knee injury early in the second half of their December 19 game against Samford, and he is described by Valparaiso as day-to-day.
    Valparaiso is 12th in team scoring (67.6 ppg), 12th in Field Goal% (39.8%), and 11th in 3-point% (29.6%).
They have forced 183 turnovers in their 13 games, just one fewer than MVC-leading Drake's 184 forced turnovers.
Valparaiso is also dead last in average home attendance with 1,383 per game for 8 home games.

This is a must win if we want to compete for a top 4 spot. Barring injuries Ind. St. looks to be better then everybody else and Drake is good just not great. Valpo is a place where you need to win and we cannot lose anymore at home.Hoping we see the team that started 6-0 and looked confident on the floor and not the one that has looked somewhat lost on offense. We missed a lot of open shots, layups and free throws last Thur. night, we need to be better on offense. Yes the defense needs to be better yet the offense has struggled more in my opinion. Figure out how to get Atlason more open shots.

I Agree that if Bradley has any chance of landing a top 4 valley spot, they must defeat Valparaiso on the road! They will be favored and it is such a MUST Win! They can't take Valparaiso for Granted as any team can beat any other favored team especially at home! I'm worried about this game and I hope the Braves don't let their fan base down!

Bradley should be favored for the next 4 games, and the next 7 appear winnable. Let's get it done.

No time like the present to keep the streak going. Have won two in a row heading into the New Year. Have to play with fire in all these conference games. You can be beat on any given night if you do not come to play. Go Braves.

Almar Atlason starting in place of Christian Davis. It is Almar's first start.

We need more production out of Leons, Deen and Hannah. Hickman carried us in the first half along with help from Davis and Jonovic, others need to step up.Put this game away with strong start to the second half.
