UIC, was picked 10th in the MVC preseason poll, but they have played surprisingly well. They came into this afternoon's game at home against University of the Incarnate Word with a 7-4 record. They were 14½ point favorites to beat UIW, who was 3-7 (2-7 vs. Di opponents) and with a 313 NET.
