Montana Heirman was a walkon as a freshman at Bradley in 2004-2005--
After he left Bradley, he played 1 season (2005-2006) at a Division II junior college, Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois. He had a pretty good season there, and averaged 6.2 assists per game which was good enough to rank 6th in the country in assists for Div II jucos. He had one game that he scored a triple double with 19 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.
Last season (2006-2007) he walked on at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Florida. Though he stayed with the team for the season, he was never listed as a rostered player, and never played in any games (see 3rd paragraph)--
2006-2007 roster (not listed)--
This year (2007-2008 ), it seemed he had made the roster. He was listed on the USF roster when it was first posted on their website--

Here is an article from the website of the Tampa newspaper reporting Montana had made the roster (see 5th paragraph)--
But now I am not so sure what his staus is. The 2007-2008 USF roster was recently updated, and he is no longer listed--
So good luck to Montana. I hope he makes their team this year and sees some action.
A couple interesting facts about Montana from his BU bio--
He was named after Joe Montana, who was his father's friend's roommate at Notre Dame.
He played for former Bradley player Tom Les at Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, Illinois.
