However, 6'8" 5th year senior guard Ali Ali was not granted eligibility by the NCAA to play this season, despite an appeal by Akron.
Ali played 3 seasons at Akron (2019-22), then transferred and played last year at Butler. Then he transferred back to Akron for his 5th (Covid) season this year.
