Have not seen anything posted recently. Just wondering if Bradley is still pursuing Manual guard Dietrich Richardson. Just curious as I am a Manual grad from many years ago. Does anyone have an update.

The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies... - John Walter Wayland
He has gotten off to a great start this season, and has received several new offers from Eastern Illinois, Southern Illinois, SIUE and a couple other midmajors..
It hasn't happened much at Illinois recently either.
In the last 22 seasons, at least 10 Manual grads have gone on to play Division I basketball, and only one of them attended Illinois, Da'Monte Williams, a career 3.8 ppg scorer.
Adam Miller played one season for Illinois, but he only attended Manual for his freshman year, and was a graduate of Chicago Morgan Park HS.
The others:
A.J. Youngman (Eastern Kentucky 2017-18, Idaho 2019-21), Isaiah Duncan (Western Illinois 2012-13), Jacoby Roddy (Wright State 2012-13), Jeff White (Loyola 2012-16), Lawrence Alexander (North Dakota State 2011-15), Marvin Jordan (Niagara 2010-14), Paris Gulley (Milwaukee 2011-13), Aaron Williams (Chicago State 2005-07), Marlon Brooks (DePaul 2001-03)
One of them, Lawrence Alexander, would have played for Bradley, but Bradley's head coach in 2011 was fired, so he went to North Dakota State instead and had a great career. There he averaged double digits for 4 straight years, including 18.9 ppg his senior year and was the Summit League Player of the Year in 2015.
Few recall but I believe both Brandon Lee & Dustin Warfield started at Manual, and I think the Roos brothers as well who all played D-1 about 18-20 yr ago
The story of the state championship could be written in three installments. First, Brandon Lee, a multifaceted guard, left Peoria Manual for Peoria Central after Rams coach Wayne McClain left to be…
David Roos, a Manual guy, played a couple years at Eastern Illinois (2002-04)- https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb...id-roos-1.html
I don't think his brother played D1, but if someone knows for sure, please correct the record.
Dustin Warfield played at Richwoods and Central, but I can't find that he played at Manual.
And another Manual guy, Breland McKnight, had D1 offers, though not from Illinois. But never ended up playing D1, reportedly due to academics. He did have a good career for ICC and Kentucky Wesleyan.
And of course, Adam Miller played at Manual for one year before transferring to Chicago Morgan Park HS. He did play for Illinois for one year, before transferring to LSU, and then to Arizona State. He has not appeared in any games for Arizona State yet.
It has quite awhile since a Manual basketball player has arrived on campus. They seem to go to Illinois.
Most Manual kids grow up in a very dangerous and depressed area of Peoria so I would think it increases their chances for success to get away from the bad influences and poverty that has surrounded them their entire life.

Bobby Humbles was from Manual and played at Bradley in the late 70's. I remember seeing him hitting a 35 footer at the buzzer to beat, I think Tulsa. He later played a year or two for Golden State.

Lol, I am the other Roos brother and I DID NOT play D1 basketball. Yeah David played for Eastern Illinois after ICC.
