Evansville trailed at halftime 40-36, then played poorly for the first part of the 2nd half and fell behind by 20 points, 62-42, with 11:21 left in the game. Then they made a remarkable comeback outscoring Chattanooga 28-8 over the final 11:21 to tie the game 70-70 at the end of regulation. The Aces continued their surge and outscored Chattanooga 15-7 in the overtime period for the 85-77 win. NAIA (Huntington University) transfer Ben Humrichouse lead Evansville (5-0) with 28 points.
Evansville will play SEMO tomorrow for the championship in the Coke Zero Sugar Classic at Chattanooga.
Evansville's 5 wins matched their entire win total last season when they finished 5-27.

The Sycamores are Champions of the Bawl Dogs Classic with wins over Rice, Pepperdine, and Toledo. The starters all played heavy minutes and no reserve played more than 7 minutes. University of Southern Indiana transfer Isaiah Swope, who played all 40 minutes, lead them with 23 points. Jayson Kent with perhaps his best game had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Indiana State is now 5-1.

Belmont (2-3) gives up 93 points to Monmouth in their opening game of the Cathedral of College Basketball Classic in Philadelphia. They have also yielded 100 points to Arizona and 99 points to Furman. Their only D1 win was 89-87 over Georgia State. They are yielding an average of 95 points in their 4 games against D1 opponents. They play Penn tomorrow and Lafayette on Sunday.

UNI is 1-4, and their only win was over Division III Loras College. -

UIC is another MVC team really playing well.

After their impressive win at Loyola last week, UIC dominated Middle Tennessee from start to finish. They held MTSU to 28.8% shooting, built a 30+ point lead, and did not allow any starter on MTSU to reach double figures. UIC has won 4 in a row, and is now 4-1. They will play the winner of the Ohio U.-George Washington game tomorrow.
