Who knew that the #1 problem at Bradley games this year would be the sound system being way too loud. When you have to yell to the person next to you to have a conversation during the game that’s a problem. And that doesn’t guarantee that they can hear me or me hear them. Maybe we could start a movement. #Turn it down Civic Center.

As far as the actual game we played pretty well the first 35 minutes with the last 20 of that maybe being the best stretch on both ends. Everyone who played contributed and when you can get that kind of effort you’re going to be tough to beat. No doubt that Meta is a work in progress but from what I’m told he’s our hardest worker in practice so it was great to see that effort rewarded with that 2nd half stretch. Darius continues to blossom on the offensive end. Malevy and Conner are a steady presence on the floor and while Duke can’t hit the broad side of the barn right now he did have 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 0 turnovers and played his usual tough defense. Burch and Almer just keep getting more confident and comfortable. The transfers frankly are going to have to earn their time in practice and if they didn’t know that coming in well it’s on them. Playing for Brian is not for everybody. All in all 6-0 is pretty sweet. 7-0 would be even sweeter.

I love it when the crowd roars, as it did when Meta had his blocks and basket. I do not love it when piped-in music or fake applause is at a crazy decibel level during time-outs. The couple in front of us put in ear plugs. Another couple near us moved to a different location hoping the sound would be less deafening. Our seats are eight rows up in the upper bowl, center court. Maybe we're right in line with the speakers. How is it in the lower bowl?

I hope the issue is addressed, because this team deserves all the fans we can get to the Civic Center. And their fantastic play will inspire enough noise, thank you. 6-0 . . . RPI #2. This is fun!

We sit in the lower bowl, and the sound is way too loud. It is nice to finally be able to understand what Lee Hall says, but the volume should be turned down so it doesn’t hurt your ears.

What a joy it is to watch the improvement of our seniors, and the excitement of our 1st year players. Bradley fans have a lot to look forward to in the future.

Thanks to Da Coach for all the update information on our favorite team!!

Doing good Steve, and you? I filled out the contact us form on the Peoria Civic Center website and asked them to turn the volume down. Maybe if enough people contact them they will respond...

The music and PA system are way too loud. We sit in the lower bowl on the side court, and it is deafening. At the Tarleton State game, we tried moving to a different location and sat with friends to see if it was just our section, but it was the same everywhere.
I have now heard from numerous fans who do not like the excessive volume, including at least a couple who have stopped coming to games because of it. It is the one thing about the experience at the games that is a big turnoff.
Last night, two different long-time ushers who we know commented to me about how many people they hear say it is way too loud, and they agreed. We are aware of at least one family who left last night before the game started and say they are not coming back because they could not tolerate the loud volume of the music being played before they begin the player introductions.
I told these things to one of the Bradley Associate Athletic Directors, and I was told to contact a different Associate AD with my complaints about the loudness.

So I'll post it here and encourage fans... Please send a note to Associate AD for for Marketing and Fan Engagement T.J. Christie at tchristie@bradley.edu
The only way it will get changed is if enough fans notify him about their objection to the excessive volume of the music and PA system.

I have been to every home game so far, and have been sympathetic to this issue. I’m very confident that the volume levels have already been coming down significantly from earlier highs. Utah State was the pinnacle, Tarleton was slightly less, and Vermont lower yet. I’d be happy with a couple more notches down, but to me it’s nowhere near what it was. They are hearing you.

I also sent an email to tchristie..I encourage others to do the same..I would rather do that than try to talk to them.. My conversation with them would be good for about 2 minutes then I would revert to 4 letter words

Totally agree about the volume of the Pa system. Do not mind crowd being vocal. Gives college basketball that unique experience. Also sent a e-mail to tchristie about the subject. Encourage all others to do the same.

If we turn down the volume, you will hear a pin drop. I was in the lower bowl yesterday and yes it’s loud on big plays but that energy is important to incentivize the players for their positive plays.

I personally don’t see an issue with the sound system. At times it might be loud but it’s to wake the crowd up so you aren’t sitting there like a bump on a log. The louder it gets and the more energy we have at the games the better.

I agree about it being to loud. The worst one is the guy screaming into the mike at timeouts. I understand trying to get the crowd into the game but that is Lee Hall's job not the goof ball screaming like an idiot at the top of his lungs while playing some stupid game during timeouts.
